PIG brand pads work really well. They are well made and really absorb fluids.

Matt I will try that. I’m going to try some 30lb mono. I’ve had the best luck so far with that line. Could be a coincidence, lots of things to try. But the season is getting shorter buy the day.

Thanks guys! So your saying I need some holy water for the new combo? Maybe some catfish slime🙂 Those Flatheads are something special, super fun to chase. I might be over thinking things… Alot of questions to answer, I really appreciate the tips. One more question, braid or mono.
    Thanks,
    Chad

Thanks FBRM! Do you use circles with that rod? Tip soft enough to see bites?
    Thanks

I took a guided ice fishing trip with Tom two years ago. Could not ask for a better guide. He works his ass off, love’s to fish and it shows. We learned alot and he made it an awesome trip. He might have had a few hiccups back in the day, I’m not here to judge. But remember people can and do change. I’m hoping all the choir boys preaching on here about how perfect they are never f-up themselves… Keep up the great work Tom!!!

That boat with a Yamaha 90 SHO would be great. But they are all really nice these days. I’m a Yamaha guy…

Its tough to beat the Helix G3N Side Imaging. I just got one and it is incredible, I cannot believe how clear you can read fish. Totally changed the way I fish, and it has caught a lot of fish for me. I bought the 9 and now a few months later wish I had the 12… Now I have two things on the boat I couldn’t live without, Terrova and Helix G3N. Spend once Hurt once!

OEM tire’s suck on the OB. We got 20K on our 2016. I went with the General Altimax RT43, so far so good. A HUGE improvement over the Dueler’s. It really bugs me that Subaru would put such a crappy tire on there cars!!!!! General tire prices seem good too.

We are in lock down in Wi. But the Gov is still encouraging outdoor activities. I went yesterday and I’m going tomorrow. Just stay away from people, I pay at the pump. I use Lysol wipes. I’m good I think. Just be smart and use common sense. Which for some people that is a chore!!!

I just went out of Evert’s last Thursday. Ramps are always clear and you get a report before you go out-PRICELESS! Won’t go anywhere else. Plus they have a great selection of lures and bait.

Plus I don’t like relying on someone else to do something I can do myself. Especially if they can’t plow you out right away.

You said you need a lawn mower too, I would get a mower/blower combo. My neighbor has a JDeere 500 series that blows snow incredibly well. Dual purpose

Hard to beat a Coleman Extreme. I also like my Igloo proglide, it has wheels. I guess it depends on the size your looking for. For the money the Extreme is great. I do have a smaller ORCA cooler, very nice but I also won it. I would have a hard time spending that much on a cooler.

It’s a tough pill to swallow, but a Weber will save you money in the long run. I’ve had my Genesis for ten years. Still like new. Best $650 I’ve spent, rock solid and reliable.

What size fuse/circuit breaker are you using? I had to go with the 60A CKT BKR. The 50A would trip when I got above setting 8. That’s with a five foot run of 4 gauge wire.

It is fun to watch. Whatever he throw’s people will buy. Was Shimano now Okuma. St Croix then Okuma. Was Humminbird now Garmin. Most people like to follow, just find the fish they will bite whatever you throw at them. I’m guilty for sure, I buy what he use’s too. LOL

It should only get better! Get those temps up a touch, it should turn on. Might be a crazy year, seems we are a week behind. Cold nights aren’t helping.

I have a 30+32″ precision. Nice walleye rod. I always pic the 30″ in the cottage and 32″ outside. 32″ is a little long in the shack… I also have the QT, PP, and BW. All great rods, but the Precision is for Eyes
