This might be a dumb question, but does the 825 camera work like the 560? (rotate)

Any secret to keeping the hooks inline after tightening the snells down?
April 25, 2007 at 2:19 pm #564431Nick,
Good job on getting into the eyes and yellows . Are most of the yellows over 9″? And were you using large or small minnows? Hope to see ya up there this spring.

It’s been real slow at Brushy . I think there is a tourny there this weekend also. Put on by the Fire Dept.
Good luck where ever you end up fishin.

Thanks for the report!!
Were you in 14 to 15 ft. where you were fishing or the 18 ft. bowl north of the island?
Did you mark alot of fish, just no takers?
This snow coming isn’t going to help build more ice
Hopefully we will meet up sometime this winter.Frank

Thanks for the report…Was that 14′ of water north of the island? 1/32 ounce tipped with anything? I’d say 25 yellows and 3 cats is a pretty good 1/2 day on the water the way the weather has been.Frank

We were fishing rocky ref areas. We anchored in 5 f.o.w. and fished in 7 to 8 f.o.w. and used slip bobbers, yellow & orange floating worm harness, and spinner rigs. We just cast the harness & rigs past the ref and “slooowly” brought them into the rocks and bingo!!! The slip bobbers we pitched past the ref the same way, and brought them back to the hump. Alot of guys were using boards in 12 f.o.w…. We tried that for awhile but weren’t having any luck so we went back to the rocks and got back on the bite. I lost track of how many eyes from 9″ to 12″ we landed. Water temp. was 79.7 to 80 deg.Tight lines to all
FrankFebruary 22, 2006 at 2:56 am #423005Fished Brushy today….Got there around 11…First fish at 11:45, small gill, double hook setup, top hook, glow with a black dot, wax worm. At high noon second fish, 12 inch eye, same setup and same lure. Had a nice fish on at 2 and lost it 3/4 of the way up. Had to be home early so I didn’t get the late afternoon bite. I was fishing in the south end. Had plenty of ice, where I was fishing it was 10 to 12 inches. Didn’t do anygood on minnows, whole or heads, and I was fishing in 22 to 24 f.o.w. all by myself. A few drove in the south ramp area but no one joined me. Sun was shining and I got a good sun burn on the face. And the ice was singing all the time I was there.

February 7, 2006 at 8:37 pm #418622Sorry, I must have had my head up the ice bucket. Should have said Monday and Tuesday.
February 7, 2006 at 8:34 pm #418620fynsup,
I was up there Wed. afternoon and fished northwest of the island about 75 yard from the open water. There was 6 inchs of ice. there is alot of current under the ice now. Thursday morning fished northeast of the island and there was a good foot of ice. The small eyes are still going strong. Yellows a little slow. Talked to a couple of guys that were out at 6:45 am, and they had six yellows between them. I fished any where from 15 to 18 feet. Should be good ice for the rest of the week and then some.Crowbait

How does the new shack work? Any better than the other one? Did you get a new camera too, and what model? Good to finally get to meet you after all of the emails. These sites are great to be able to keep in contact with people. Was there much water on top of the ice Sun. morning when you left? And most important did your fishing partner ever get to land that FIRST fish??? If the cloudy weather stays it shouldn’t eat too much of the ice away in northern Iowa. (I hope) Deep fried up a bunch of yellows over the weekend in a cajun mix. Like they say “IT DON’T GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT”!!!

Fished Wed. afternoon from 3 to 6:30 pounded the yellows for just about an hour, ended up with just about a half a bucket full. Back out Thur. morning, caught fish all day long. Fished next to Barb, and a local guy from Clear Lake. Ended up with 3/4 of a bucket of yellows. The late afternoon bite didn’t happen for me, but I caught fish all day long. Quit Thur. night right before dark and there was anywhere from no water on top of the ice to just about 2″ of water on the ice. I had 2 GREAT days of fishing.
