That’s a scary encounter for sure!

A quick Google search told this answer:
Yes, with a license plate number, you can usually find out the registered owner’s name and vehicle details through your state’s DMV records, but accessing this information directly without authorization is often restricted by privacy laws like the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), meaning you typically need a legitimate reason to look up someone’s personal information using their plate number.

Suzuki and I, along with another friend hunted Iowa again this past weekend. It was a tale of 2 days. We struggled a little on Saturday and had a few opportunities slip away from us. The 3 of us ended the day with 5 birds.
Sunday we woke to rain and overcast and I don’t think any of us were expecting much. The rain however, seemed to bunch up the birds and when we found roosters we found multiples every time. We shot our 3 man limit of 9 by 11:30a.m. It was a great day with great dog work and good shooting.

Was 76 and humid in our house late afternoon yesterday. I actually DID turn the AC on. Ridiculous.

They were crazy good at the cabin outside of Spooner last night. Hoping this video will upload.

I think a lot of it depends on the size motor and rig. I have a 115 Etec on my 175 Alumacraft and I really love it. I bought it used from the original purchaser. Super easy to maintain, very easy to winterize, gets good fuel economy and oil consumption is negligible.
I’m sure I’ll take a little beating when/if I sell it, which is too bad since it’s such a great motor.

We did really well August 17-24 over on the West side of the lake between Mallard and Ravens. Hammered gold spinner, 3/16 oz weight and half crawler. 9-11 FOW. Caught a surprising number of jumbo perch along with our walleyes.
    Good luck!

Our satellite dish at our lake cabin is mounted out in the yard and doesn’t have any ground wire.

Nice find!! Some elbow grease and new flooring will make that thing shine like a new penny!

I don’t think I’ll ever NOT own a Suburban. Having more room and more power has never been an issue. And, I get almost as good fuel mileage as any smaller SUV. 21 highway without the boat and 15 with the boat.

I would pick Rainy over both Vermillion and Kab. Great fishing and scenery and many lodging options.

I’m surprised nobody else has said it. The Frying Saucer! Uses very little oil, nice sides to drain your fillets and keep them hot at the same time. I’ve used the same 1 lb. cylinder for the last 2 fries and still some left.

Helly Hansen also makes some great lightweight and packable rainwear. I’ve had a set for 10 years and its never let me down when I needed it.

We found a ton of them last week too! Right along our road by the cabin. I picked enough to fill 2 Chinese carryout containers. They are small and it takes forever to pick that much, but man you just can’t beat the flavor.

Willing to split up? Possibly interested in 2 of the RH reels.

Hi Nick. Sorry, no dice. The spare gimbal mount I have will NOT fit your unit. It was for an older X-Series Lowrance. It’s the correct width, but not the correct height.

I’d bet A-Rod is wishing he would have made that final payment on time now!
Great win last night and outstanding series. Let’s hope they get some rest and come out and hammer Denver, who is up 3-1 in their series.

    Hi Nick,
I’m not at the cabin until this Friday. I will let you know as soon as I get there.

    Hey Nick,

I think I have one you can have. It’s at the cabin in WI, and I will be up there next weekend. I will make sure it’s there and bring it home to Lakeville. Where are you located?

The lake my group fishes on opener is still ice covered, so I don’t think it will be much different than normal.

I’m a canoe fan, and they can be tippy, no doubt. But there are a ton of stabilizer options out there to purchase. I’ve also successfully cobbled together my own homemade stabilizer using an extension pole for a roof rake and lashing boat bumper buoys to it. It was cheap and very effective. I could even stand up to cast or relieve my bladder. )

Grouse, 16.5 miles is about 10 more than I put on just driving around on the lake in January. Good news is that except for pumping out the old gas and putting in some new, I won’t have any other pre-season maintenance to do next year!

I’ve been lucky enough to work in the outdoor apparel industry for over 25 years. In that time I’ve had a LOT of rainwear and boots. Simms, Huk, Striker, Helly Hansen, etc. My 2 favorite suits that I’ve owned by far are still the Cabela’s Guidewear. Dry, comfortable, and priced pretty well.

One BIG thing for everyone to consider this year is how long the gas has been in the tank. If you’re like me and drove your sled a whopping 5 miles or less on gas that was stored all last summer, it’s probably best to siphon the old gas out and use it in your vehicle and put in fresh Non-oxy and fuel stabilizer.
