Nice fish!
Does anyone know why all the little leeches the last few years? We were up the end of March and my livewell, carpet, judge ruler were all covered in tiny leeches??
Thanks,
Cory

My son’s first deer!
Mille Lacs rainbow in Izaty harbor!!
First goose retrieve for my lab and it is banded!!!
My son and 1 year old labs first pheasant.
Mille Lacs musky love!!
My son shooting sporting clays and the photo caught the shot string on way to breaking the clay!!!
Cool pictures! Keep them coming!!
I made it out for the early goose opener with some buddies over by Elk River and had a Great hunt. We shot our 30 birds and were back at the trucks before 10:00. We did not see many, but the birds we saw came right in.
I took my son out for the youth hunt on Saturday and was disappointed by the lack of fowl present. I believe the final count was 22 ducks and 6 geese and we sat until almost 10:30. My son did manage to get a nice goose and a bluewing teal. The goose circled twice and was feet down at 15 yards which added to the drama. Don’t know if the birds are spread out because of all the water or just not around?? Hopefully we can get some cooler/dryer weather and maybe opener will be ok? Good Luck!
I back my warrior V177 in till the very front of bunks are just at the height of, or a little above, the water. That works perfect for me.
X2
I will be there on the North end in a red Ranger 617!! Good Luck to all and be careful!

My second lab, Stella, is going to be 1 on May 4th. She has been a good dog(for the most part) so far. We will see how the Fall goes! Also one of the my last hunt with my chocolate lab, Loomis!
I will be up there as well and I talked to Chris and the meeting is Thursday night at 7:00. Looking forward to it.
Not a Wall Mounter?? I would be tickled to get a deer like that!!
Congrats on her first deer!!!
Here are a couple from this year. The first one is my son and nephews on the youth hunt and then the early goose opener and finally the best day afield so far this year and a dandy pintail drake with no tail.
My son’s first widgeon and it was a beauty that is going on the wall!
I have a friend, Troy Smutka, that guides there as well as Waconia and Minnetonka. His guide service is called “Great Day on The Water” and you can call him at 952-368-9718, email him at [email protected], or go to his website at http://www.greatdayonthewater.com. I have fished with him for over 30 years.
Was out yesterday in the west metro and saw a few birds but not many. It was almost all redheads, canvasbacks, and ringbills. I did not see a mallard and only saw 1 bwt and 3 woodies. Still no geese as I’m sure the previous 2 months of hunting pressure have moved or educated the local birds. I am going in the am as the winds are switching this afternoon to WNW. I gotta believe there will be some new birds moving into the area tomorrow(At least I keep telling myself that?)!!
Good Luck and shoot straight!!
Super good read!
X3!!!
Congrats!! Felt like I was in the stand watching it play out!!
I have a friend in St. Cloud that has a 2006 620 with full windshield, Yamaha 250 4 stroke, Yamaha T8 kicker, Lowrance 113CHD on bow and dash and an Lowrance Elite 7 HDI in dash, Minnkota 80 lb Terrova with I pilot, boat and motor cover, boarding ladder, trollmaster, and dual throttle controls. Big motor has 295 hours on it. If interested send me a pm and I will get you his cell phone number. Not sure on price.
Thanks for sharing as it is Great to see the little ones getting involved!! It’s a lot easier to get them going later if you start them now!! Looks like some dandy fish to boot!!
I was thinking the same thing!
I have always and will always be a Twins and Vikings fan, but they do try our patience at times.
Hopefully they play competitive ball throughout the summer and into fall
Mine was on a CNC tilt bracket. You could have that fixed and a Panther or CNC tilt put on then. I see if I can dig up a picture and post it.
I ran that exact same combo and year with the only difference being my kicker was on the starboard side which caused the boat to lean a little that way and the fact that I was NOT skinny! I Loved the boat and my brother still complains that I sold it. I fished Mille Lacs a lot as well as Lake of the Woods and the Rainy River. My 175 EFI was bulletproof and the only added maintenance was changing the impellor every other year. I think it is a good idea to let the EFI warm up to before rolling on the power. I had 61.9 mph on my gps with just me, a life jkt and throw cushion, and a half tank of gas but would normally run in the low 50’s loaded up. The only thing I would have changed was to move my kicker to the port side to offset a little weight but yours is already there. Good luck and enjoy your fishing machine!!
Thanks Alyse for the updates! I am crushed that I wont be able to fish the river this spring but I will be there this fall!! See you and Grant in October!
