I’m in northern Alberta. Never needed more than a buddy heater. Fished full days a -30 Celsius on high turning it down once in awhile. At -15 it’s on low with T-shirt’s on. Dawn till dusk on low I use about 1 1/2 pounds of propane

I use the 42” mh for lakers and it’s also the rod I use for Rippin raps on lake Winnipeg for green backs. The biggest lake trout I’ve caught was just under 10 lbs. no monster but handled it easily.

Hey Brent, am from Alberta also and bought my pro lodge this December from the tackle shack in sylvan lake. I almost bought it from riverside outdoors there in Ontario. There price was cheaper. But they have pst there add that with the shipping and it was a bit more than buying from here. But have bought the rod holders and otter lights from them. There very quick and easy to deal with.

I put mine over my head pointing forward abit. Found that straight down or behind me there’s a shadow and that doesn’t help when tying on hooks with light line. But each to their own. There easy to move around to find how you like them

Also did this. Seen it on another site. Not my idea. But it’s awesome way to keep the wind poles organized and out-of-the-way

I get what your saying. I tried it by just clamping the piece your mentioning on to what I’ve got when I built it. But with how tight the tolerance is where the poles are it didn’t seem to add much more support. That’s why the plywood is thicker so it doesn’t tilt down.

Lower side. Need this to keep it forward and back because it’s not using three poles. It fits tight between the poles when lowered down

The slot for the poles to slide into is 3/4″. The total length is 26″. The total width is 10″. I’ll take some more pics of the shelf tomorrow.
