February 12, 2012 at 1:42 pm #1038088we were out yesterday we used the mn side landing and there were quite a few full size trucks out there , we drove a suburban out and there was 17″ everywhere we drilled . we dident go to the main communities of shacks we mostly fished away from them in about 22ft . got a few decent crappies and a smally to boot but fishing was pretty slow otherwise. Not a strong current either my jig was pretty much under the hole and easy to see on the vex. They seemed to respond well to my glow red demon jigs tipped with euros, or my green diamond jigs tipped with euros, they were feeding about 5-7 ft off the bottom and were looking for heavy jiggen.
good luck out there and yes dont forget your cleats !!!Tight Lines !!!

The class is free but we require a 15.00 check payment to hold your spot. when you come to the class your check will be given back to you! if you dont show then your check ends up being a donation towards the DNR youth programs. This just assures your going to be there. But it is a free classsend the check along with your form

February 9, 2012 at 4:51 pm #1037128A CERTIFIED ANGLER EDUCATION INSTRUCTOR :
You will be certified by the Wi DNR to hold angler education classes in public schools, do workshops for the dnr( some of them are paid) and you will essentially be given the right”backed by the WI dnr ” to hold these classes in public areas.
Give introduction to fishing classes and such.
Sometimes the WI dnr will call you to give a presentation at a public school or a DNR venue. most of the time the classes you teach will be on a volunteer basis but sometimes the DNR will pay you to hold these classes it depends on where they send you. Also schools may call you to come and speak to children about fishing or maybe ask you to assist them on a field trip and most of the time those are paid.
so there are a few good reasons for taking the class and also you show your heart to preserve our native waters by becoming a ambassador to children and show your wiiling to teach them the proper do’s and don’ts…
