Number one cause for auto fires, ask anybody on the local fire dept.
Had a new 99 grand prix GT start on fire while driving it home from college 10 years ago place that installed it just put the box ontop of the wires under the dash. Turned around going about 80-90 back into town police officer saw me turned around and I stopped and they called the fire department to put it out. Not a total loss but I did not want that car back after seeing the dash riped out and it being hosed down by the fire truck. Ended up getting salvage value and bought a 2000 grand prix GTP. So a good installer is key.

I love my Strike Lite by Strike Master!
Light weight, no mixing gas, quiet, cuts good, ALWAYS starts. After running one of these for a couple of years I will not run anything else! Best of luck on your auger search!
Got to try out my dads new addition to the family the strike lite this weekend and that is one nice auger.
February 19, 2009 at 5:27 pm #750426Let mine run out on my wife’s Saturn Vue and will let mine run out on my New Impalla SS I got about a month ago, I do not think it is worth another monthly bill. I have a cell phone and I have a spare key in my wallet. Just my .02

1977 Buick Le Sabre. Big old tank that could really move and I didn’t mind only getting 10 MPG with it. To be young and only have to worry about getting enough money to go out and put a little gas in the car.
Now those were the days.
I had a 78 coupe 350 rocket engine it did move pretty good I never passed a gas station without stopping

yeah, the ZL-1 is going to be a street legal Le Mans car.
Yes that is what I meant ZL-1 been awhile since I read up on this one and could not remember the exact name.
As for the millage the stick is key and I also think I remember reading that at 70 MPH the engine is only turning 1200 RPM’s.

Not saying any one is making a bad decision here but if they are estimating 40 mpg thats not bad, how ever take a closer look and I beleive you need to run premium which is any where from 30 to 50 cents higher. that will drop your average down too.
I am with james his prism gets 38 and you can run the cheap stuff
30 to 50 cents more is a strech, I have had a supercharged grand prix that requires premium and have had it for 8 years and I would say premium is generally 16 to 20 cents higher I have never seen it 30 cents higher.
I have paid over $4 a gallon though I think 4.01 when regular was 3.85 It gets good mileage though so I do not mind the premium.
May 28, 2008 at 3:33 pm #688518I did not get out this weekend but my brother said it has been slow and has not found the big fish yet (at least that is what he is telling me). Also I would suspect others are getting ready for the classic as well and would be tight lipped right now.
May 3, 2008 at 12:15 am #681689Cannot wait!! I think here in the metro we are still a good two weeks away.

My family is at the point to get a new suv or something to pull our 17 foot boat.
Wondering if any of you have had a vue and pulled a boat? If so what do/did you think? Its in our price range, reports seem to be fine, but just wondering the pulling capacities.
Also did you have a all wheel drive or a front wheel drive? Can a person get away with just the front wheel drive and pulling or just roll with the all wheel drive.
Thanks for any input!
I have a 2006 AWD VUE with the Honda V6 and pulled a 16.5 foot probably late 90’s Alunicraft Magnum that I borrowed from someone for about 2 months and since I live so close to Tonka the longest drives were the pick up and drop back off. It seemed to pull fine did notice on big hills the RPMS were pretty high to keep it at 65-70 but it seemed to pull fine. I would say it depends on how far you have to travel to and from the lakes you fish.
November 28, 2007 at 9:55 pm #628043Electric motor only, Gas engine can be on the boat put not in the water, not sure if you need a permit for the electric motor like you did 4 or 5 years ago when I fished it.
November 2, 2007 at 5:13 pm #622042Any luck Stanman, Should be heading out there sometime in the next week.
October 24, 2007 at 3:38 pm #619256Wire transfers from bank to bank should cost 50 dollars or less and once the funds are received in your bank account they cannot be taken back and they are the quickest way to move funds. I would insist on a wire transfer, as long as you are comfortbale with all of the other issues.
October 22, 2007 at 2:44 pm #618572I thought the old regs you only needed your DNR number or drivers license number on the portable.
October 15, 2007 at 4:33 pm #616673I agree on the 3.8 liter engine I have a 2000 grand prix GTP that I bought new and it has 101K on it now and runs great. Mine is the supercharged 3.8 so it runs on premium but still gets about 30 on the highway at 70 mph. My overall mileage is about 25-26 (As long as I keep my foot off the floor and do not tap into the supercharger)
