Have you tried the lakemaster website? It looks like they have it for the Garmin GPS. Let me know if you want me to contact them, they’re based here in Little Falls where I live. I can check and see if it’s available.

The heave runs all along the West side. I really varies on being a heave or a crack depending on where you go out. We went out of Terrys yesterday and it’s just a crack with no bridge or anything needed. When we came back in we were on Twin pines road and it was heaved up with a bridge across. The last time I went out of the casino landing it was only a crack. I’ve never been out of the garrison landing this year but if my friend took a truck across it can’t be much.

We fished from 2-5. Both the walleyes were caught around 4:15-4:30. I was using a perch colored glo devil with waxies and I kept 2 perch and a smaller walleye. My dad was using a white hook and crappie minnows and he kept 3 very nice perch and a 17-18 inch walleye.

James, if you’re on sleds you will have no problem what so ever. There is only 1 heave that I have seen on the West side and it’s 1/4 mile from shore and easy to get across. There’s 20+ inches of ice and once you get past the first crack/heave it’s smooth sailing!! My friend went out of the Garrison access a week ago with his truck and had no problem with the heave.

I have a cabin on hawkbill point which is about 4 miles North of Isle. You’re more then welcome to park in my driveway and walk out from there. Lots of good structure within walking distance from my shore for both perch and walleyes. Let me know if that interests you and I’ll PM you some directions.

Will the company let you drive to the South and SouthEast side and then walk out. From there you can fish either Wahkon or Isle bays, both of which will hold perch (and sometimes crappies if you’re in the right area). Other than that I’d talk to the resorts on the West side. They check their roads numerous times daily. Maybe they’d drop you off on one of the flats and come back and pick you up later for the $10 road fee?? Just a couple thoughts.

The liberty beach road is great and will take you 9 miles out. It ends around the south needle. Fishing on the other hand is not great, at least it wasn’t for us this past weekend. Still seeing lots and lots of fish on the sonar but tough getting them to bite. We fished a deep water rock hump Saturday and Mud Sunday and it didn’t seem to matter. I still think you can do really well if you hit the weather right but it’s not like 2-3 weeks ago when they’d bite regardless of the weather. Good luck!!
