I’m 46 and have had both hips replaced, do your exercises before and after surgery to strengthen muscles. Last hip was two years ago, was home 4 hours after and off pain meds by third day. You won’t regret it

The map chip will be pretty detailed and will allow you to highlight certain depths. Do you have side imaging ?

A bunch of fish died in it a few years ago due to fertilizer runoff or something, was a Dead Sea a couple winters ago but not sure if it came back

I didn’t have a scale, just a board and tape for girth. She had a pretty big belly already, but I’m sure she will get fatter. I’d guess over 6, hit like a freight train and was just dead weight staying down

I fished open water with FFS for the first time last weekend, it definitely is cool, but you still have to read the fish…it’s crazy that you can cast to them and they’re gone. I give props to the pros who can select the big fish, control the boat, and catch the fish they’re targeting. They are in a whole different league than us. It’s a very humbling experience

AIM uses a very generous length/weight conversion. Saturdays <strong class=”ido-tag-strong”>Walleye shootout uses the MTT conversion. Our bag in that was 22.68 Saturday. Those same fish would have scored over 28 pounds on the AIM conversion they use. The <em class=”ido-tag-em”>Walleye shootout and AIM events over the weekend both took a 27 inch average for their big 5 fish to win. However I would put the actual weight of most these 27’s well under 7 pounds each this year.

We had a good weekend fishing. Lots of action but biggest was 25 1/2 which didn’t help us much in the tournament. But boated about 50 fish in two days so can’t complain.

You just beat us Saturday! We had 22.5. First time I fished a tournament and learned a lot. I’m guessing the top teams were targeting basin fish?

Not saying you are doing anything wrong by any means, but both of my 2B rods have been great and both are over a year old. I consider them a great rod for the price compared to others that are in the $300 range. Im debating on pulling the trigger on an Elliot rod too

I did last year and have added 2 more this year, was always a st croix fan, but they feel so good in your hands

Used to fish it quite a bit, weeds go deep. Lots of perch and panfish bothering you. Always did well with #9 jig raps on deep weedlines, even during the day

Took my girlfriend out yesterday. From 9-3 we boated 18 and missed another half dozen, rigging leeches from 6-17’. Biggest was 23”. Surprised we caught that many with the record harvest this winter…

Pekarnas in Jordan has pickled head cheese, it’s amazing

I’m only about 10 miles away, I gotta go check that out. Haven’t been to Pekarna’s in a while but have always loved that place! Did not know about the pickled head cheese, but have home pickled their bologna.

Heading there Wednesday Thunder for bologna and head cheese. They used to have pickled pork hocks that were sliced thin and amazing but FDA said no more…where abouts do you live? I grew up in Montgomery and live in West Bloomington

Her coat was a Prism and bibs were youth Predator, both at Reeds. My bibs were Marine general. Most places had 30% off suits

GF got a striker suit for 200$, I got a new pair of climate bibs for 40% off. Did buy a few packs of Beavertail baits, we’ll see if they catch fisherman or fish

Was up yesterday also, water on west side was 61, bite was on fire! We boated probably 40 fish in 5 hours, only a couple were under 17” with two slot walleye too. Big fish was a 20.5” slob that went 5.66

If you’re concerned about the rod, in my opinion you don’t need much for feel, but rather give if you’re using braid, a majority of the time you won’t feel bite, but rather they’ll be on when you snap up

Was up last Monday and lots of fish on mud, like grubson said top edge was most active. Bobbers and slow death were small fish, but blades and crawlers were better fish. Had one slot and one over
