Why are people so easily offended by nothing?

.38 revolver would be a excellent choice. I have a Ruger gp100 and its my favorite gun for shooting. With a .357 you can shoot .38 rounds also.

I love my Sr9c also. The 2 different length mags you can use is a nice option

I personally would buy new. You never know how many rounds a semi auto has throught it and if it will have problems. I wouldn’t think it would be too hard to find a new Sr9c. And one thing to remember is gander and cabelas will match each others prices.

I tried finding 22-250 ammo the other day for coyote hunting with no luck. Guess you can always rely on the good ol .22 or .17 for plinking fun. Seems to be plenty of that around

Couldn’t sleep last night so I got up for a midnight snack. Before I finished my plate of holiday cookies I had already decided to bust out the snow camo and take a drive. I drove up to a chunk of public just north of my house where I have two good setups. First one was a blank. Second one was a winner. Two yotes bouncing through CRP grass for over a 150yds. I let them get within 75 before I popped the one in back. The second one ran about 15 yds and I let out a yip…. the second one. I was back to the house and had both of them skinned before the wife knew I was gone. I going back out tonight as soon as the kiddos hit the sack! Good luck boys. Get out there!

Ha that’s awesome. I just got home from fleet farm with a new foxpro wildfire. Can’t wait to get out!

I’ve been looking for a caller also and I think I might try the foxpro wildfire ll. There 199.99 and from all the reviews I’ve read it sounds good for the price. I belive the spitfire has been replaced by the wildfire ll. Cabelas had them on sale a couple weeks ago for 129.99 and I should of got one then

What rings did you go with. I’m really liking my Burris XTR rings. They look cool and they are beefy!

I looked at the revenge with the adjustable yardage. Personally I didn’t care for it. It seemed like a lot of adjusting and would take a little time to do all that while hunting

Will do thanks again. One tip I would give is get the tall scope rings with this gun. I got a 4x12x40 scope and the bolt will slide across the bottom of the scope and your scope cover a little bit. And I got the medium rings. The bolt action with this gun is a little higher than most

I was thinking about a decent 4×12 for mine. Don’t think I would need much more realistically

I just talked to Chris at 4 seasons. They are a Savage Arms dealer and would be more than happy to compete for your business! Give a Chris a call at 651-388-4334 and I’m sure he’ll get you taken care of. I’ve heard nothing but good things on their customer service!

i like to buy from the smaller shops but the last time i tried going to a smaller local shop in rochester for a new shotgun they would not price match the big stores. i could see a $10-20 difference but when its $50-100 or more difference then i have to take my business somewhere else.

if you want more versatility, go .243
it’ll do in the song-dogs but will easily help you with that deer hunting trip down the road. Plenty of over the counter loads available too.

i thought about that but i hunt in zone 3 and cant use a rifle so i dont think i would ever need it for that
