I use the Sevr heads and they are just ok. They differ from Rage because they not only lock open but the blades can pivot if one blade hits a bone. I have not had great blood trails. The entry and exit hole are not as big as the rage, probably because they may be pivoted at that time and present a smaller cut. Shot and recovered two deer with them this year. Not very good blood on either. I know they mess up the critter plenty bad inside but a dead deer that you can’t track is not why I am using a 2 inch expandable. My Nitro X sends a very heavy arrow out there at over 400 Fps. I cant even find the arrow after they pass through in soft ground. I am thinking of going with a 3 blade expandable like the NAP.

I have loaded bunk trailers for 25 years. My old Yarcraft Storm would do everything, just like you described. I have tried it on 10 different landings. This rig cannot be cranked more than an inch if I pull on with an inch of side guides out of the water. The only way to get the bow up to the post is to back in farther, once it’s hooked up and then it floats off center if there is any crosswind. I am wondering if I need to move the post back a couple of inches. The boat would hang over over the back bunks by an inch or so.

I use a track system. Not cheap but solid and easy to remove.

Does Mason make a line other than nylon? I have 3 spools of Nylon Mason and it has some stretch to it. I pulled off 20 feet and there was at least 2 feet of give to it before it stopped stretching. That is not a big deal except if you have a big pike clinching your bait very tightly. I lost several good fish after some pretty hard first runs. I don’t think I ever got a hook into them. They were pulling way too hard to be just grabbing the bait. That’s why I am trying to get away from stretch. Mrt.
