The Otter auger shield will allow you to put the auger anywhere. Have mine mounted on front rack of wheeler but have used it on early ice when pulling sled out by hand, throw auger in shield and put on top of seats. Will protect everything from getting cut up by flighting and blades.

If it’s like the other 1:1 inline reels you should be able to take the spool off, find the bearing inside the spool and just flip the bearing. Of course, make sure to put parts back together in the order you pull them apart.

I would bet his entire family thinks he’s an idiot. I know mine would.

Just hope it’s lesson learned for him.

The sensitivity on these rods is amazing. Used both the precision and quicktip this past weekend and caught nothing but cigar (6″-12″) walleyes. I ended up catching a couple dozen of them but when talking with other guys fishing in the same area they were only catching 2-6 fish in the same time frame. You can feel the hit even from a 6″ walleye on both these rods. Now just need to find some larger toothier critters so I can give them a true test run.

Pic is the first fish of the year caught strictly on feel.

Suffix 832 ice braid. If you like braids you should give it a shot!

All my walleye rods are spooled with this.

Wrapped all the little screws on the poles with electrical tape. Noticed last year that they started to work themselves out.

Leave the house set up like you would for fishing for a couple days. Lets the skin stretch and will be easier to set up the first time you want to use it on the ice.

If you want to feel the bite- Quicktip.
If you want to watch the bite at the rod tip- Noodle.

Either way you can’t go wrong. Just depends on the how you like to fish.

2 gallon water cooler. Put screens over the spigots so bait doesn’t restrict flow when I need to dump old water out and add new water.

I bought a fenwick elite tech last year, I like it a lot.

I have an Otter Cabin which is supposed to be for 3 people but it is only really big enough for 2 people. As far a portability, I can flip this up and move to a new hole in a matter of seconds. The only real downside is the weight of the sled and shack. It gets tough to pull it out onto a lake if you are walking and there is any amount of snow coverage. However, if you have a tow vehicle or truck, then it is exactly what you are looking for.

Otter cabin could not fit 3 people. It gets snug with 2 guys and gear. Have the cabin and when I move on the ice I just shorten the poles for the front of the shack so it doesn’t drag on the ice and head to my next spot. Pull my shack with an ATV.

I quit counting my jigging spoons the other night at 150. Wife just rolls her eyes when I say I “need” more.

I run a 55 and the LX-7. Use the LX-7 for my jigging rod and the 55 for my deadstick rod. Work great together. Always fish in my otter so wouldn’t know how they work in the sun.

I got mine last week and spooled it up with orange suffix line, and respooled my 6061 with green micro ice. The teardrop went onto my TUCR 32″ Precision, and the TUCR has orange highlights to match the 13 Fishing colors and line color…. I haven’t dialed in the drag yet, waiting till i tie on a jig to do it.

For those that want to know how to dial in the drag, the drag is actually the star shaped dial by the crank, not the line brake knob nor the twist knob by the frenched disassembly button. The dial by the frenched button it to fine tune the line brake.

    Teardrop 1

    Teardrop 2

    Teardrop 3

    Teardrop 4

    Teardrop 5

    Teardrop 6

Also got my “the Jobber” hat

    Jobber 1

    Jobber 2

So how does the rod and reel balance feel? The way the reel looks it seems the rod would want to twist towards the reel handles.

Is this add on for the $50 HD version only or is this compatible with the $15 US and Canada version for android? I can’t find this at the play store for my basic US/Canada version and I can’t find any function on my app that allow me to upgrade or add this on.

Upgrade is only available on Ipad/Iphone from my understanding.

Have 7 custom rods on order. 3 from TUC and 4 from DH. All will have 4″ carbon fiber handle, both fiberglass and carbon rod blanks. Used a carbon fiber handle last winter and would be tough for me to get away from it. Looking forward to using all of them this winter.
