Bill n Nellies lake Despair lodge. Northwest bay of Rainy lake is really good as we get into fall. Big Walleyes feeding up before winter.

Fish the Whitehorse river where it enters on the north shore. Cast cranks and pitch jigs in the current. Verticle jig around the red cans marking the rock piles. As the water warms the eyes will be hanging in the deeper water around them. Smallmouth like the sides an tops of those rocky under water islands. Lots of big eyes to catch but this is mostly a catch an release water. One under 18 per day is the rule.

We were on Rainy this weekend throwing Moxi and pulse-r rigs. What an awesome trip. We slammed them with purple or lime green rigs. Lots of fish. Several over 27 and one 30 inch. How did you do?

Love my Pro XS. Never misses a beat. Fast warmup. Fast hole shot. Fast on plan. Faster when you raise the jack plate a bit and run her all the way out. Throw some oil in the tank once in a while an go. No maintenance no worrys. Use the kicker to troll slow.

Glad to see Steve taking charge. The future looks great for Everts.
