I bought a 96 polaris indy trail 2 up this year, and it doesn’t look all that big compared to the new ones. Put a u-bolt in bumper for my Otter hitch. Why did I wait so long to get a sled! Thing has been fantastic! Electric start, reverse, great to have, and pretty lite. I don’t go very fast, got it up to 50 and had lots more on the throttle. But that was a test.I find my ideal speed with the sled on the back is 25. Fan cooled.

Well, It had to be my fault. I had it for five hours, put it in case with no reel on it, put another rod/reel in it and closed it. Obviously,
it must have shifted, but I still see it laying there where I put it. I didn’t see or feel it getting pinched, like I said, it was my new baby. But, had to be my fault. Hopefully the good news is that it was so close to the tip that it should be repairable. I hope. Won’t be the same, but close. It’s just one of those years,ya know? Was up on Winnie last week and had respooled one of my reels and it decided to unspool on me, ha ha. Three truck loads of guys from WI showed up, nice guys really, and while i was letting the line out to try and straighten it, they all decided to come over and introduce themselves. Ha ha you should have seen me waving them off as they stepped all over my line and made amy job a lot longer than was nessecary. I did laugh though, I was fishing on the ice at least. Thanx for asking, take it easy Dude.

Hey Nicholas. Do what I did up until a couple years ago, look at maps if You can get a hold of them. Computer if You have one. Open a lot of holes up and put your $1.39 depth weight with the alligator clip down the holes. Look for clusters of fisherman on the ice and chat them up for info. Most ice fishermen are nice people and are usually willing to give info. You also have to be willing to put some time and effort into it. Good luck and have fun!

Sorry folks, just got worked up, like I always do at the near end of ice. I to, love the opener of open water, lot”s of memories.

Quite frankly, the way i”ve been seeing the catch out on the ice, I would”nt mind seeing an every 3-4 year layoff on the season. Meaning, from feb 28th till opener, no fishing. We are wiping the fish out and wondering why. I fish a lot of lakes north of Brainerd, the catch is small, not like it used to be. The lobster fishermen in the east realized it, while they all took a hit, the end result was a bigger and better harvest. I’d gladly give up some fishing to improve the fishing!
Maybe take some of the lottery money to help the resorts, just thinking and flying off the top of my head here. Also, realize this is the probably the wrong forum here. thats the only thing I will apologize for. Give me any crap, OK, send this to the right forum. I have no idea where to send this. I think I should just cancel my IDO membership.
