Bleeding hot olive is my personal favorite. Firetiger, hot steel, perch and gold have worked well for me with the shad raps. Flicker shads black gold sunset, speckled black gold and gold.

I have not been to Winni since opener. I have heard reports that fish are starting to show up on humps in better numbers now. They had a MTT there last weekend. I hope someone with first hand info can help you out! I will be up the 4th-12th, let us know how the bite is.

As said above flicker shads and shad raps are awesome must haves. Personally my favorite crank is the Rapala Tail Dancer. The tail dancer has great action and walleyes love them, unfortunately Rapala and stores know that.. Look for deals online most places sell them for 8-9 bucks but once an a while you find them on sale for 5-6. I have a few flicker minnows that I have yet to use. I will be interested to see how they compare to the tail dancer as a mid summer crank.
Smash shads are a good value crank also, they go on sale for 2-3 often.

I would bet that in a given year in Minnesota Shad Raps account for over half the fish caught while trolling.

I 100% agree with that statement!

This is absolutely disgusting… Hopefully the child is placed with a new family who has a little more regard for their safety..

For the amount of use that access gets they could definitely justify upgrading that access. During low water times I have avoided that lake because of the shallow access. I think they should also add parking to the access also. It really is a shame because it is a quality body of water for southern mn…

I would be shocked to see the current record fall but then again never say never. I am going to go with Pokegama, it has the food source for monster walleyes to feed on.

    Awesome topic by the way.

Aleb did you have any luck? I am heading up to Otter Tail for a few days and was thinking about giving Osakis a try. Just want to know if it is worth the drive or not.

meestro have you purchased one yet? One word of advise I will offer is remember that every boat shrinks once its on the water. On the show floor they look lager. Once you add passangers and gear the floor space is a lot smaller. Make sure you get something that will fit the needs of you and your family.

On my 2009 175 dominator i had a 115 on the back. I was running anywhere between 38-40 mph depending on conditions.

Both are nice boats! I have heard the pro v rides a little better. I looked at both and ended up with a pro guide. I think the pro v will have a little better resale. I think the impact was made to compete with the alumacrafts at that price point.

I picked up three in about 10 min rigging last week in 12-15ft. Moving extremely slow nothing above .3mph. Had to get off the lake due to motor problems.

I don’t think Nodak’s has a launch they have boat rentals however. Denny’s does have a launch I see them out there all the time.

Actually those are the old “Walleye” graphics from last year. Lund will still put them on if you ask. They are a lot cheaper now that they are technically discontinued.

Dakota Woods is a really nice place to socialize your dog. I know all other Dakota county parks have an ordinance against dogs being off leash..

Running a 90HP Merc four-stroke (max HP for the boat) with the power steering. I am a Yamaha guy but I was sold on the power steering and the Merc had a 5 year warranty on it.

For graphs I am running a 958c HD DI and a 858c HD DI. I also got the a 80lb Terrova with I-link that is networked in with both birds.

I networked them. I wanted to take full advantage of the screen size. I will run DI and normal sonar off of one and the chart of the other.

I had issues with the ram mounts myself on my first boat. On the last two boats I have run stabil-mounts, I absolutely love them. The come in a few different sizes and options. The ones in the second picture tilt forward and backwards.

As soon as they figure out how to pay for the Vikings new staduim, they’ll be working on that next. They’ll probably throw a $5.00 surcharge on all MN fishing licenses to do it too.

    Stop giving them ideas!
