that sounds great thanks a lot, the only thing is i’m not sure the difference between diving and puddle ducks, other than the obvious, but which ducks are which? we have a lot of redhead, pintail, some mallards, gadwall, and a few different species of geese. and are geese usually where the ducks are?

i’ve heard of people using the styrofoam insulation for houses pushed inside of a goose shell with a wooden keel, maybe using this to make some sort of platform with a keel maybe painted a dark blue or black to blend in with the water. just an idea

sounds like the conduit is the way to go, what size do you use 1/2, 3/4? i’m not even sure what sizes it comes in to be honest lol, and also how did you mount it to the boat? was thinking of hooking C clamps to it, but i don’t know how to weld, maybe cutting a groove in the end of the pipe and drilling all the way through and using a bolt/nut???

i think i’m going to go with the cheaper one from cabelas, but wow watching the video from the labsunlimited, i never realized that much water would be brought into the boat with each retrieve…and i definatly will try the boat on land training that way also it can be much more controlled and in her own backyard where she’s already comftrable….we’ll get started tonight, wish me luck

how long have you been doing this for? do the motors still suffer from it, my real dilema is that this motor has been in my wifes family since it was new in 1953 and would hate to be the one to ruin it considering it still runs like a champ today.

well she loves the water, and she’s been on pontoon boats before but just won’t jump into the water, i’ll have to ask around for someone else with a trained dog as i’ve just moved to corpus christi texas, but that sounds like a great idea, she definatly hates another dog retrieving anything let alone her dummy and she’s been a pretty quick study so she should pick it up quick…anyway to get them back into the boat without one of those expensive dog ladders?
