I know this is old but if you are still not happy try a Rev 4 17p or a Michigan wheel apollo 4 blade 18p with a se400 hydrofoil. These combos make this boat a rocketship and it loves lots of trim. Will handle big water, tubers, and hit 47 on a perfect day.

Finally figured out it was the Vent Fitting on the Rear tank of the boat. can see some fuel sitting on top of the tank right below the fitting. going to make some calls today.

All right guys, My dealer recommended dumping some hot water around the fuel tanks and letting it drain out. I took the boat out to a small lake about 30 minutes away and ran it for while. Was a small chop and some bumps on the road some enough to shake things up a little bit. Had no fuel smells at all. Our kid even ate supper on the floor and i sat with him and not once did I get any sort of fuel smell. So guess we will run it for a while to get the fuel down on our next big trip, fill it, and see if not overfilling solves the issue. thanks for all the suggestions I will update in a week or two.

sounds good. sounds like i can probably chalk it up to overfilling the boat.

I have a wx 1850 with a garmin 93sv. I mouted mine under the step because the transducer does 2d, DI and SI. works well keeps 2d bottom contact on plane and SI looks great.

I just inked the deal on a used wx 1850 and I am just beside myself with excitement. Your questions were a lot of the same ones I had and look forward to getting out when the ice is gone. I am hoping the glassed in transducer doesn’t drive me crazy.

Only a 4 cylinder 200 though from what I read which eliminates some popular options.

i agree would be nice if alumacraft put the livewell in the center between the jump seats like everybody else. But does it break the boat for me having it where it is? not sure the livewell placement is worth 5k to me stepping up to the crossover. Trophy is too bulky I think for most. I rarely see my self going out into weather where i would want a boat that tall. I would hope Alumacraft would have allowed putting a kicker on but who knows.

The edge looks to be 200lb lighter then the trophy and not as tall. I would think that might help it pick up a few mph maybe upper 40s or touch 50
