I have a 7 ft garage door height and it was programmed to stop on the running track leaving a clearance from the ground up of 81 inch (I’ll probably be adjusting it a bit more in the future). It’s tight but it fits the WX1910. I lowered my trailer post/steps down on the trailer post a few inches to help. When I back it in, I use the truck to take it so the wheels enter the garage, and then a bit, and then unhook it from the trailer and power it cranking a Trailer Valet. Not ideal, but it’s the biggest boat I could find that fit in my garage.

If I ever move or buy another house I’ll make sure the garage fits a 620 or 621 )

After further inspection I found all 6 wires under the console dash (3 red / 3 black). Therefore it is clear those are ACC-1, ACC-2, and ACC-3.

Agree that the 2 wires at the bow (red / black) are ACC-BOW.

I removed the fuse panel and there are red wires connected to ACC-6 and ACC-7. I cannot for the life of me find them in the boat. Maybe I’ll try calling the Skeeter Boat Center tomorrow to see if somebody there can help me find them.

I still don’t understand the two wires in the radio plug, however if it works no point in monkeying with it. I wouldn’t mind adding something with a bit more bass to the stereo in the future though.

My only option for the SOLIX 12 is to change the fuse to a 5A or run direct to the battery with an in-line fuse holder. The SOLIX 12 has a power draw of 2.88 amps, whereas the HELIX 12 has a power draw of only 1.75 amps. The 3A would work the HELIX but may nuisance trip the SOLIX. To save myself the headache I’ll change it.

The 31 series AGM dual purpose is in the range of $400-$425 CAD vs. the 27 series flooded cranking at about $155-$170. I believe for $300 CAD total I can upgrade to a new 31 series AGM from my 24XHD on trade. I’m gonna go that route since I will be running a bunch of electronics off of it. Also, I bought the MK460PC and will be plugging it in every outing or two to recharge. For my trolling motor batteries I have three 29 series flooded deep cycle. Should work for me.

For those of you noting you have a MX or WX (pale ryder, stonyeye, Michael W), do you mind checking what make and model plug is installed on your trolling motor and noting it in a reply?

I believe I’ll pull the trigger on the plug that originally came with it.

Thanks for the responses! Others are welcome to join in the conversation.

For those of you running a Skeeter boat that was equipped with a trolling motor, can you confirm if the plug is the Marinco 305BP??

In response to the comments above:
    1) I cannot find the Minn Kota MKR-18’s amperage rating. I read online that MK does not publish that data, which is aligns with the lack of findings in my search. The only thing to consider is if it doesn’t say, and lists 12,24, and 36V systems on the packaging, one must believe it’s fine.

    2) Aside from the power calculation above, amps do matter very much so. Technically the gear should have an amperage rating above what the system can run at for safety reasons. On paper it looks like Skeeter did not catch this, however I will reserve judgement and run the plug and see for myself – I assume it will be fine based on the number of boats they are installed in and also like Hot Runr Guy says, a safety factor built into it. Remember 30A is a lot lower than 56A, but we will see.

I guess I wouldn’t have known otherwise if I didn’t get the dealer to pull the trolling motor (plug went with it) from the sale.

    Thanks again everyone!

    Hi Eric,

Any photos of during the modification and after the modification for our reference? I would consider this however a more important feature I would like to figure out is how to get 8 foot rods comfortably in and out of the rod locker of a WX1910. They fit but it’s a procedure to get them in and out safely. I noticed the floor is quite high (shallow locker) and there appears to be room below to lower it down (maybe to make more room if possible) just above the blower. Also the first segment of the rod locker floor is not supported very well. On the side wall that backs onto the cooler locker is not supported at all by any brackets and flexes a lot. Weird, but I guess your not standing there so it’s not considered in the design.

Anyone modify there floor for a TM foot pedal? Anyone modify the rod locker with bracket and tubes for rods? Photos are appreciated.

Also do you have any photos of how the TM fits on the stock slide plate as you noted? Just curious. Not sure if the 24V vs 36V TMs vary in size.

    Thanks,
    Josh

    Hi Jami,

    Thanks for the response.

Yeah I figured I’ll have to get the cover modified. Too bad.

I have an email off to my dealer to see if he knows the details on the female receptacle (make and model) so I can figure out if it’s good for 36V and what male plug will adapt to it. Maybe I’ll need a new one.

To answer your questions, I also had the dealer remove the original charger and supply a third battery. The third battery is in the floor compartment and I bought a MK460PC which is located in the port side aft seat compartment (I removed the pointless plano box storage tub and opened up that area). Lambeau has been kind enough to provide some ideas and photos for me.

In the spring I’ll be permanently fastening it all in. It’s all just loosely sitting there connected on maintenance mode charge. I’d like to come up with something clever to maintain storage space in this compartment (i.e. create a braket to mount it on it’s side if possible, or make a kind of shelve so I can pile other stuff on top of it but still be able to see the buttons and lights.

    Cheers,
    Josh
