I know this is a very old thread but I found it when searching Marcum 350. I read your post Jeff and I am wondering how you used the UC at night. I bought my Marcum VS350 around 10 yrs ago and have never been able to see after dark. I adjusted everthing and since the water is full of tiny particles when the infared lights shine on them that’s all I can see. Maybe you use it in a crystal clear lake. Now out of the water it works great in the dark.

Not knocking Dewalt as a drill but there’s no Lifetime warranty on the battery, charger, or drill.
I use a 18V Rigid w/7″lazer and when the battery goes bad I call them up, send the bad bat back, and they send me a NEW battery free of charge and free shipping. Now to get the lifetime warranty you have to buy the kit(drill, bat, and charger). There is now lifetime warranty if you just buy pieces.

Mine is 5-6 yrs old and Rigid has replaced 3 batteries for free. One time they mistakingly sent me a new charger, I contacted them and they said keep it don’t return it.

I use my 18v drill and with an adapter my mora auger. Works great and lightweight.
