    Grouse

I wish it was that easy. Not ever yard has night crawlers in it. I would guess that as a % very few do. Glowing up in a small central minnesota town I did my share of picking/catching crawler. There was only a few yards in town that held good night crawler. A few were rather communal spots and a few closely guarded secrete spots. I know my current yard and my surrounding neighbors yards don’t have any or very few. I’ve went out several different times looking for them after some good daytime rains and storms. I would be curious to know why some yards have them and some do not. If anyone knows what it is let me know as I’d love to turn my yard into one.

Its a good question. Certain parts of my yard in stp have them and some have none. my good spots seem to have less clay in the soil so that is my guess.

You can have your WAR tbro. I’ve seen them blow enough games already to know they need help.

Twins are 26-1 when leading after 6 innings, so yes, I will take my WAR! Bullpen has done wonders thus far.

I would not be suprised if Castro is traded for pitching. Last year of his deal and he won’t be back with the way Garver has played.

Curious to hear what you think what kind of pitching an aging catcher on his contract year would fetch.. (the answer is very, very little)

Anything is better than nothing. I think we have learned that more than enough times as twins fans.

Great game last night. Arraez looked great, great game from Gonzalez. Pineda pitched alright but got lucky with a few of those warning track fly balls.

Sorry dude, but well…after paying that much $$ for an ice rod, or any fishing rod you should have been treating that like an infant baby human.

So to answer your question, no…I have never done that.

You did not answer his question!
    You are of no help!!

Faster option would be to glue a new tip guide on if you didn’t lose too much of your rod.

I appreciate the actual attempt to help.

What rod was it that broke? We might have a few in stock, which would dramatically shorten your wait time. Otherwise, the build times are 3-4 weeks right now.

It was a 36 inch precision. I can call on Monday and check on that.
    Thanks Dan

That’s true. I’ve never been more annoyed with myself about breaking anything before.

Was out on the mud last Saturday. Tough conditions with the high skies. Caught around 20 fish with the biggest being 23. Noticed the suspended fish were the aggressive ones. Started fishing 4 to 6 feet off the bottom and the catch rate went up quick.

I work at the Sportsmans guide retail across from the 494 launch. Had them all over the front of the building last week.

I spent a year up there at school. The only thing to do was fish. WHite Iron is a great lake. However, you can have any size boat you want on the lake. The BWCA line is in fall lake. Garden is great when its on. Shagawa is in town and can be really good for smallies. Fall has some good perch in it to if you can find them.
Still, nothing beats the 25 minute drive to Vermillion!

Personally, Im not worried about him. He didnt get many ABs during the spring, and all these power hitters have streaks like this. I think once he gets one, he will get a bunch.

Nice to see Seeler, Greenway, Foligno and Winnik stepping up.

I honestly think Seeler may have been the best player on the ice tonight. He blocked shots, he made plays and won his battles. Plus I love my guys that can fight.(or at least have the chops to) Also would have been great for the EP kid to score his first in a playoff game.

    I have tried it. 2/10
The line started to fray after about 3 trips. This was 10 pound line that broke on 12 inch walleyes and saugers. If you do need to change braid I think you should spend the extra money on fireline or sufix 832.

Quite a bit of ice and not a lot of fish… at least from shore!

Think i saw you out there jeff. I was sitting across the river. Caught 1 nice sauger and a small walleye.

A couple feet of the bottom depending on water clarity. A few good rips and then pound it on the spot.

Anyone still out hunting. I’ve got zone 1 tag to fill for f, so any advice would be appreciated because they have been pretty quiet this year.

I was by the dam and confluence and it was slow. I would guess you were further downstream?

We did well on Sunday, not a lot of fish but the size was definitely there. We caught about 20 walleyes and a few sheepies, kept five walleyes from 17-19 between the two of us, smallest fish was 17. Also got a 28.5 pulling a leech, it is my new PB.

I was down Sunday, we pulled cranks and leeches for about 6 hours. Managed about 7 keepers in the 15-17 in range and a couple over 25. I didn’t see much else being caught except a big walleye that was at least 27+.

You are correct on the light till. The trees are all very mature, the family we lease from farm trees. The bedding area cover about a third of the land and we don’t hunt that part. It’s a very good sanctuary, however the deer tend to feed around the other fields but we would like to see more deer moving. The biggest reason we want to do this is because we want to hold more hot does during the rut.

Or something I can do with a power rake or by hand. Just no deep tills.

You never know though. You are correct that would be rare for a 2 year old. A few years ago my dad shot a 2 year old 10’point that scored 141. He was mad when he found out how young it was because it clearly had awesome genes.

The big reason Iowa was low isn’t because you don’t have huge deer, the reason they were lower is because it costs at least $500 dollars for tags and licenses alone.

The numbers and size in that area will get better as the water gets colder.
