Growing up in central Mn offered great hunting and fishing opportunities.  I now live in Becker, Mn where we have several lakes within 20 miles that offer excellent panfish, bass, musky, and walleye fishing.  I whitetail hunt locally and have had great success with the large number of deer in this area.

My greatest gift is having a wife who loves to icefish as well.  She has caught several large walleye with her largest being 29.25″. She baits her own hooks, takes the fish off, and argues about who is going to drill the holes.  She’s the greatest fishing partner a guy could ever asked for. I would encourage you to take your wife with fishing…it’s amazing how much equipment you can buy without any complaining
