Is the crappie bite still hot on Lake Zumbro? Debating on whether to head there or up to Lake Pepin for some fishing this weekend.

How is the condition of the river shaping up for this weekend? Is it worth the trip to Lake City to pull some cranks?

I agree with the Willow Creek Resevoir tip for largemouth. Chester Woods County Park on the east side of Rochester also is a nice spot close to town (there might be a small park entrance fee)

Thanks for the help. The Suffix 832 LC sounds the way to go. I found Brad Juaire’s review which was very helpful. Do I need back on on my reel prior to spooling the 832 LC? Also I was having a heck of a time tying my leader on last night any knot suggestions? How long of leader do you recommend?

Do you have the dates of the Muskie tournament? I did not see it in the list of fishing tournaments on the DNR website.

Made it out Saturday night for about 4 hours. Caught and released 1 20in. eye. Pretty slow night. I was long-lining Shad raps in about 17ft. of water on the Wisconsin side near Maiden Rock. I am relatively new to fishing Pool 4 so any tips or sharing of hot spots would be much appreciated.
