    Sure would be nice if they made touch screen units & they didn’t cost 2600.00
    Look at all the smart phones today.
    How many buttons are on them.

    On the chart, how can you get it to show the water depth you are sitting in .
    It shows SOG and all. But I ain’t interesrted in that when I’m moving.

    Found out one of the SD card I had wouldn’t work.
    And you need to format your SD card before you use it again.
    Even though you have used it before.
    I used a 16gb Samsung SD card I got at Walmart.

    Found out that you have to go to downloads. Highlight the zip file. I think it was right click and you change the path to the SD card directory and when it opens it will open to the Sd card and put the files there.

    Used a 8g on the Hds7 gen 2 touch.
    It didn’t recognise it neither.

    When the zip file opens, it’s one file with sub directory’s under it.
    Copy that who file Yo the SD card.
    No luck.

    Had a 999 SI Humminbird. Thought I didn’t like it so I sold it.

    Got a Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 2 touch for the front of the boat.
    And got a Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 3 Touch for the console.

    I can honestly say I think I made a mistake selling my 999 Si Humminbird.

    It had way more map detail showing he content of the bottom of lakes, ridges, Humps and all. And showed the depth details.
    Showed the underwater bridges better also and the water depths around it.

    And this is with a Navionics Platinum card in both units.

    I have a HDS 7 Gen 2 Touch & A HDS 7 Gen 3 touch.
    I used a 16GB card and downloaded it to one of my computers with windows 7 and copied the files to the SD card. The Lowrance unit will not reconize the SD card and update itself.
    Also tried it on a Macbook Pro. Same thing.
