Can any Elliot owners comment on the ES44UL-XF?
I have some long power noodle rods, but they shine best with 5mm tungstens. I’m looking for one that loads better with 4mm.
I have one. Have it rigged but haven’t used it yet.

I have 11 Elliott’s, and 3 2b select rods. Hands down the best production rods out there. And yes I’m including the “ custom “ builders as they are production rods as well.
What in the lineup do you recommend for that perch/walleye rod?
42” med evolution.
The only thing that matters is the api rating. If both conventional and synthetic have the same api, they are compatable.
Curious on opinions. Will unvaccinated American anglers ever be allowed to travel to and fish in Canada ever again?
Not for the foreseeable future.
The specs are almost identical between the 32 and 34. I think they redesigned it to space things out and reduce the ghost tree issue, which I never saw. Not worth 1300 imo.

Trudeau issues the act. Parliament has not declared or approved. This was in meeting yesterday and the decision must be made by tomorrow. I have not seen it was declared by parliament. This is Trudeau’s order alone right now and there is heavy opposition in their government to it.
go gettem buschman, I’m with ya on this!!!
All the liberal party is behind him on it, with the support of the ndp, who are even further left leaning than the liberals. It will pass with their support.
The act is in effect. It will pass, as Trudeau’s party with the support of the even more left leaning ndp party. The police have said for 5 days, we will remove you. The protesters wanted to be arrested, now they are and can challenge it in a court of law. They are also seizing and selling all vehicles impounded to cover the costs of all the enforcement.
I see a number of them here on lake Winnipeg. Having never fished in one, the only benefit over a tracked side by side is the fully self contained factor.
There are no border blockades. The protest in Ottawa is pretty much disbanded. This loon might want to check the news. But go ahead and drop the pillows. I’m sure the wolves and moose will appreciate them.
It would be interesting to see his approval numbers.
Doesn’t matter. Toronto controls the outcome of the election. The rest of us don’t matter.
The blockade at coutts has disbanded. A truck tried to ran a police cruiser, those arrests led to the seizure of a good amount of firearms, ammo and body armour that was enroute to the blockade. 12 people involved arrested. The protesters said they are not associated and don’t want violence and it’s not what they are about.
Don’t care who you are. This is funny

Hows the hospital capacity been in Canada?
Since day 1 medical capacity was the main driver for slowing the curve. At a certain point that curve goes down where all the proactive steps become unneeded.
Dropping at the same rates as the states. Hospitals up here have had two years to shore up the medical system, they still claim it’s on the verge of collapse, when it’s not. Nurses and health care workers are burnt out and quitting.
Where the arrests truckers or protesters? Where the towed vehicles semi’s? Doesn’t really matter I’m just curious.
Most of the protesters are not truck drivers. There were three semis at the blockade, they moved once asked to do so by the police. There are multiple factions involved in this, most are not drivers.
Doesn’t matter how they left, it was peaceful as far as I saw.
Several arrests and vehicles towed this morning.
The clearing of the Windsor bridge I think was a act of faith by the truckers and also they knew that pissing American industry off wasn’t likely a good thing. But, I also don’t see it as harming the protest in any way.
This week is a big week for the truckers. Their shutdown will start to be felt by all Canadians and the pressure on Ottawa will be turned up. I know some resort owners on another site are pretty mad at the truckers, well if it got their attention just think whats being said inside the walls of Parliament.
Stay strong guys, you are winning and millions around the world are watching.
They were moved back by the police.
Thanks for the update! Any word on the bite this winter?
Tons of snow. Tracks only or shovel all day. Bite is tough, but generally is this time of year.
You still need the negative pcr test for now. Suppose to drop the requirement next week, but we will see.
I assume you mean the amped 32ah 14.8 volt battery. Fully charged they are 16.8 volts, fully discharged they stop at 12 volts.
Cameron, what do they have much to do with then?
If it’s not about removing mandates and having more freedom, what is it about?
Glad to hear Saskatchewan is dropping all the bs, and some other provinces are finally letting down some.
Seems like the peaceful protests are getting something done, or is the timing just super coincidental?
This was posted two days ago by the leader of Saskatchewan (as you mentioned)….somehow right now “It’s Time”?
What was wrong with two weeks ago? Two months ago?
It’s seems as though something very recent may have influenced this sudden and drastic change of heart. Maybe I’m way off base, but it appears to be working.
Sorry for the duplicate images, this website does that for no reason and I cannot delete them.
The last two winters, the provinces have done this. The restrictions ease as winter progresses. Nothing dramatic about it. Don’t get me wrong,I understand their right to protest even if it’s changed a few times. Our prime minister is a coward, but unfortunately the greater Toronto area calls the election. The rest of us don’t matter. Much like your election is over once New York, California, Texas and a couple others vote. The rest don’t matter.
The protests don’t have much to do with removing the mandates. Quebec is off the rails with their restrictions. Saskatchewan is dropping all mandates, premier Scott moe says they make no sense because mostly vaxxed people are getting it, so the restrictions don’t work. Manitoba and Alberta are stepping down restrictions in stages, as is Ontario.
Some people seem to think the people Cameron is being delayed by on his route to Fargo are the same people protesting 1000 plus miles away in Ottawa. Everyone will tend to see things through their own lenses, that is normal. I personally think regardless of the message, protests today can easily be down played or even condemned by the actions of a few, perhaps within the group or strategically placed by the opposition. It also helps if you have media allies and or power, that is why I agree with some that this will likely not lead to anything productive. I would not expect anything less from prime minister two face, to use any means necessary to down play and condemn the people supporting this. [/quote
They are the same group. Shut down the coutts, Alberta border crossing, holding drivers and loads hostage. The exact same group protesting in Ottawa is the exact same group at the border crossings.

This is kinda what I was getting at in an earlier post when I indicated that protests in general escalate and often get out of hand. I’ve never protested anything and I never intend to. Blocking a highway or inciting violence or defacing memorials or looting or burning or whatever is often the result. People who are not really associated with the original protest often show up to cause a riot because they can. We’ve seen it many times before. I really don’t care if you’re protesting police brutality, an election, or a trucker vaccine mandate. Law enforcement doesn’t know if you’re there peacefully or if you’re there to cause trouble.I have read since I posted that one of the organizers has said they will not block emergency vehicles, assist in any way possible should issues arise and they have a big communication network to make coordinated decisions. It sounds like its pretty well run over all. Just read the US is planning something similar and want to dwarf that of the convoy in Canada. I saw videos over the weekend where someone came to the protests in Ottawa posing as a member of the group but was obviously there to start trouble and they forced him to leave.
Rcmp truck with light activated couldn’t get through Saturday. He had to run the ditch to get by it, so they lied.

Once they start using drivers and loads as collateral damage, I can’t support that one bit. We’re out here doing our job. If you don’t agree with us, fine. Don’t get in our way and prevent us from doing our job.Yep, that’s the straw that broke the back.
I’m talking about this movement, not the government. It was protesters delaying us.
Also, on the 90% vaccinated.
I can tell you this. The survey is not the entirety of the CDL drivers.
This is no different in the USA.
Specific company’s are partnered with the transportation alliance or groups within the industry. This is to achieve a status and that is ok but only represents a portion of employees or drivers on the road.
In the USA most companies that run CDL are small fleet operators(80%). This includes single owner operators and fleets that run under mileage or # capacity/drivers. Most of this portion do not report to the alliance or group. Just a heads up anyways.
I cannot give out company name but have asked over 40 carrier large and small.
I hear 72-12% vaccinated from a portion that I asked. They do not have to tell me but some do. I guess I have no weight but my word. Where does the 90%come from?? Just a reminder to ask yourself.
Can’t speak to the us stats. None available yet. The number of Canadian drivers has not dropped dramatically according to the cbp people I fish with, so the 90 percent number is probably close.
Cameron, I hear ya. Thanks for the reply.
I am the guy in the corner fighting to get you loaded faster and eliminate the garbage that ties up our efficacy. There is so much “stupid” in this industry already filled up by rules, regulations and politics. However the most important things seem overlooked and forgiven. It’s crazy!!! That’s just what I see and is just my opinion. I am ok to just leave it at that.
The problem here is that everyone in this industry has to pick up the slack when others are not. We cannot stop or tomorrow will be tougher. You have to leave politics and opinions as that and keep working. This is why it is hard to listen to the “poor me” or “poor them” theory. It’s hard to swallow when every rule, mandate, or restrictions “created” make it harder to do our jobs with any efficiency.
This is why I will be passionate about this convoy and respect it. I don’t care who they are, what color, religion or sex. It’s not about that. Just some Canadians pissed off and had enough.
Once they start using drivers and loads as collateral damage, I can’t support that one bit. We’re out here doing our job. If you don’t agree with us, fine. Don’t get in our way and prevent us from doing our job.
Admittedly, I don’t know much about this. So I did some reading up on it.
Apparently over 90% of Canada’s truckers are already vaccinated, correct? BBC has now reported that a National war memorial has been vandalized along with the tomb of the unknown soldier in Ottawa. I don’t know if BBC is a legit reporting news source but desecration of public property is not something I can get behind. Especially one that honors the Canadian military.Protesting rarely stays peaceful. Regardless of what the purpose is or the protest is for, it seems to always escalate.
90 percent of the cross border drivers are vaxxed. Big difference. The cdl driver number is in the 65-70 percent range.
The Terry fox memorial was incredibly disrespectful. I wouldn’t call it vandalism.
The war memorial and the tomb of the unknown soldier incident were incredibly disrespectful, but not vandalism in my books.
I think he was saying thank you truckers for putting a foot down and being part of the protest. Not that they are vaxed or not.
It’s that they are helping to have a voice for the people of Canada. That they are fed up with the mandates and being a prisoner for not wanting a vaccine. I assume that’s why he is saying thank you. Tying up the borders and the city is a part of the voice. And it’s a voice that needs to be heard.
Maybe you misunderstood me if your post was directed at me. The movement lost all support from me. Period. I will not support any movement that hurts drivers directly. End of story. Guys missed their appointment times in both directions because of the delay from the protests at the border. You don’t get those two hours back.
