I hate to post this, but have a bad fishing report for URL. Co-worker just came back with 2 from a two day fish. Lots of eyes, but only 2 slabs. I am on my way up next weekend also. If you have a sled and can be portable do it.

For what it is worth. The best heater I have ever used. This was made for me (which I am sure you can buy) from a family member. It reminds me of a back support, goes around the waist placing heat at the lower back, it was made out of cloth then I wrap it around latch it with velcro in front, and in the back is three pockets to place the larger hand warmers in. I usaly wear it under my hooded sweat shirt and over some under shirts. When I start getting cold I toss in a couple of warmers and heat right up. I place my hood over my head and you can feel the heat rise right up back and over the neck. It is easy to wear, packs up real small, and works every time. and probley cost $5 to make.

    Hey Big G
My $.02 and a few coments. I have a Rover 2.0 and love it (wish the shell material was tuffer). The two doors are nice but extra work keeping the zippers clean and functional. But the biggest comment I get is the bench seat. Most people shy away from the bench seat saying it takes up to much room, but it is awsome having the extra seat for setting tackel and stuff. And due to the bench it dose not have cross bars (the short way)so you can lay anything long into the sled. I would sugest one that you can stand up in, makes it much easier for getting in and out of the doors. I have a flasher, camera, bait bucket, 3 tip ups, radio, bunch of tackel, chisle, augar, lantern, 5-gal buckets, ect, ect. plus one extra persone and their gear and have plenty of room. So the house starts out at 75lb and ends up ??? to much. So the features that I like are:
5 windows for good light, closeable for spearing. which it also works good for.
    2 doors,
    bench seat,
    standing room,
access window to sled when closed up,
All of the fun of getting out on the ice.
    Good luck with your purchase.

Follow up, Got the H2Oc and love it. But does any one have a good idea on how to get more out of the batteries? They made it about a day of on and off use.

WOW the H2O or H2Oc sounds like the next best thing since sliced bread. I hate to pay the price but I have to get it at Cabela’s due to the budget and I have some points to use up. Since the house, marriage, now kid on the way, and some additional schooling the budget is a little tight.

    Thanks again for the info.

Color or not? That is the question….
Right brain says: get it and spend the money, your toy fund is $0 in a few months.
Left brain says: what do you need color for, save a little money and get a case of beer maybe two.

Seems the H20 is the ticket, is it worth getting the color?

    Hey Scott.
Thaks for the info and the great deal on the Lx-3 (year ago). I am leaning towards the H20, have you used the Hunt version in the Ifinder? I am also interested in that, but want to make sure it meets my ice fishing needs also.

P.S. anyone looking for a good flasher at a great price talk to Scott.

This is an e-mail I got back from Garmin

“I know the website still says v3, but what is shipping from the online store now is v4. V4 was very recently released and the website hasn’t caught up with it.”

    Happy fishing

Sounds like lake master is the one hands down.
Do you know if there is going to be a new release of Minnesota Lake Master that I should wait and get that, or just get the curent version?
    Thanks
