I’ve got one that I took some video with this summer out fishing and they are pretty slick. They have different quality settings from the lowest all the way to 1080.
Just to give an idea of outdoor filming instead of helmet cams, etc.

Randy, I’m about an hour from Richland Center. I’m from Lancaster which is around Platteville. Got a few down this past weekend before I headed back to La Crosse for college. If any one around La Crosse has an open spot, I’d be more than willing!
Looks pretty similar to a buck that I shot last year during Muzzleloader season. I’m guessing around 147 3/8″.. Great buck nonetheless! Congrats!

agreed. If I were in charge:
-Start bow season 2 weeks later
-No extra seasons of any kind except youth
-No over-the-counter tags
-North of 8 you get one buck tag and that’s it
-Rest of state you get a hunter’s choice tagDo this for 2 years to let the population bounce back and re-evaluate at that time.
How long would your bow season run? Same length of time including the late season? Other than that question, I agree with you.
I’m 100% okay with people that shoot does, or whatever they please for meat. I’m just saddened by the fact that our deer heard across the state has diminished as rapidly as it has. The DNR is doing a horrendous job of managing the resource in my eyes.
Scroll to the bottom of this link I posted and watch the videos if you have time. I find them pretty interesting. We should maybe model our deer management similar after our neighbor to the west.. Thoughts?
Verrrrry slim numbers down around Pool 11. Fairly good numbers of geese though.
Nice 8. Might have to see him in person though to get a better look at him

Very cool buck for sure, in the first pic he looks like a mature deer but in the second pic he looks young so hard to say for sure.
That’s the same thing I was wondering Steve! He looks like a 3.5 in the first picture, but only a 2.5 in the second. Camera angle maybe? He’s so cool I would almost be tempted to put an arrow through him if he shows himself, but on the other hand I would LOVE to see what he brings to the table next year!
Found a shed rabbit hunting on the 4th of Jan. Was a pretty fresh drop as blood was still wet on the base of the antler.
This is very frustrating. I have huntable land in the regular and CWD units both. I can tell you I have seen more deer in the non-cwd unit in one sit than in my 8 sits in the CWD unit.
Black Cloud does some damage, but for the price difference between Kent and Black Cloud, I’m going to have to stick with Kris on this one.
1. Coon
2. Turkey
3. Fox
4. Another pretty sweet turkey picture. I have tons of turkeys on camera.
I talked to a buddy this afternoon that was out hunting and said that most of the landings are still accessible even though are some thinner sheets of ice on them. Hopefully the ducks are stuck between here and there until that storm starts blowing through this weekend. . I’ll be driving down the river tomorrow and will see what’s still hanging around.
When I was home for Thanksgiving break last weekend, there was some ice starting build up on the padstems and some chunks of ice floating down the river on P11. I know of a spot or two that should still be open this weekend, but the only problem is finding a landing that will let me get there. . I will be home tomorrow afternoon and will be checking things out for this coming weekend.
Atta boy Cam! . Looking forward to seeing you boys out on the ice this winter! Jeff, when will Jack start carrying a gun into the woods? Congrats again Cam!
The first year I bow hunted I unfortunately wounded a big buck. 150″ range. The next day out of the same stand I seen him and was unable to get a shot. The arrow from the previous day was still in him. Thankfully the neighbors were able to harvest him a couple days later.

C-rack because his main beams are shaped like c’s
How about CC ?!
Burned up my battery before 11 A.M. Saturday! My battery usually lasts all day..
I can see where the one doe and one buck tag would be nice. Would 2 does tags be about the right number? The option is there to fill your tags which most will, but on the same regard, the people who do extensive deer management won’t fill their extra doe tag. Would that be enough to allow the population to bounce back AND be able to keep some meat in the freezer till next season? Maybe stick with the one buck and one doe tag, but then offer ONE extra doe tag for $50 (maybe a little high) to put money back into the state? Just throwing out ideas..

Now I hope it’s 90 the next Thursday thru Sunday for the “t” zone hunt
I don’t have much of an idea of the landings up this way, but when I was driving back to school (UW-LaX) Sunday night, the area below Goose Island was LOADED with birds. The skies were packed with birds. I’m sure that’s old news though!
.. You would think he would have just an ounce more of common sense than to fire 17! shots into the stomach of the deer.
I still use the run and gun method a little bit when time is short. Then i figured out they are like snow geese in a way. I was walking out of school one day when a steady string of about 4-500 flew over, and the next day at about the same time, give or take a few minutes, another solid steady string came flying over. So then i started putting pieces to the puzzle together and actually scouting for crows (sounds kinda stupid) and it has paid off great! Shot 44 in one spot along one path last weekend
I have read on crowbusters.com that you should always shoot the first crow because it is the scout crow and will warn the rest of crows around that there is danger. It has happened only once or twice.

hunting license only revoked for 3 years? hmmmm I say no more hunting for him… ever.
.. Certainly not enough time to make him learn from his ways. He is still going to be “that guy”
