Same problem with the moms hubby impact. Doesn’t fit. About the only complaint I have of the rig. Goofy AF really, they should let you know ahead of time.

My dealer told me to bring it back and he will see if the custom shop can make it fit somehow.
Is your moms top a factory top or custom?

Thank you for the replies. To be clear, it sounds like everyone saying yes has a sport top and not a Bimini?
If my dealer (who likes to push towards a canvas shop in his area) knew it wouldn’t fit but that there were options from Lund that would I’m going to be even more irritated. He should disclose this.

I see what you are talking about but I don’t think there’s anything that can be mounted in that groove. Mine has the led strips.

I just bought an Impact. Are you saying there’s 2 inside tracks? I’ll have to take a look.

Thanks John. I really like the layout of this boat. There’s a few minor issues that I have to bring it back for that should have been caught before delivery. One LED strip doesn’t work along with a few other items.

The bow rock guard seems really well designed. Fairly heavy duty and is on/off in 5 minutes. The Bow rock guard have snaps that attach inside the outer track. They do not interfere with the factory travel cover. The travel cover can be put inside the track and then the bow rock guard brought up to the snaps.
I was touching up to many rock chips that I thought the rock guard would be a good value.

Brad, thanks for the info. Was the rock guard made by Lund or was it custom made? This is the first solution I’ve seen for a bow guard that fits on the boat and works with the travel cover. I know there are many trailer addons on for rock protection, but I really like this version.

    John

John, it is a Lund product. I ordered it right off the Lund build. I want to say it was 500. You can build an impact on their site and it will tell you the price. I’m sure your dealer can set you up as well.

(There are already many horror stories of the new Pro XS not making past a couple of years before a major repair is needed.)

Can you please share some of those horror stories? My new Impact comes a Pro xs and I’m a bit worried about long term reliability. I have searched the net and I can’t find anything significant about Pro XS problems.
My previous Lund was powered by a Honda BF motor and I had 0 issues with it after years if service.

X2. I would love to see all these horror stories myself. I had a PRO XS on my Crossover. It’s was absolutely flawless in the five years I owned it. Quiet, reliable and very easy to work on. I liked it so much I put the same engine on my 2022 Impact.
    Buy with confidence.

Snap in carpet is how I go. Pull it when in fish. Put it in with the family.
BTW, great job on the casting deck.

I’m in Minnesota. Not sure if the altitude but not that high…

I appreciate the feedback. I’m a Minnesota native. I miss the water.

Altitude may change things but I agree with Brad, the combo is a great one. Ran my stepdads often for the last few years. His gets around the same, his has touched 44-45 but he doesnt have much stuff in his.

I’m usually on a reservoir that sits around 5000 feet. Roughly an 18 percent loss in power. When I go up to 9000 to fish large trout it’s a massive drain. All I can do is mess with props.

Hello, new member here from CO. Thanks for having me.

I sold my Crossover in Dec 21 for close to what I paid and ordered my new Lund in late Dec. The boat just arrived yesterday. After the Bimini is built and the dealer dresses it out I’ll be able to pick it up. Probably about 2 weeks from now.
I remember in 17 when I bought my Crossover it was delayed a couple months. This boat was right on schedule.
Good luck. I’m starting to think it may have something to do with the dealer and the amount of volume they pump out for Lund.
