I got about half in northwest Iowa. Redesigned the garden last fall. My ocd got the best of me. I like being able to walk around and have designated spots for each plants. Roughly 24’x48’ not sure on exact planting square feet.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions it helps a lot when you’ve never been to an area. Right now it sounds like going to start at otter tail lake with Trev and see where the fish take me after that.
I have a 2019 f250 everything is stock wheels and lift. I have a flush to the cab topper on mine and I know I can go into a 7’ tall car wash. I will try to remember to check at home for an actual height measurement
Even in northwest Iowa I’ve heard of them doing that to protect shoreline structures and islands. More so straight trucks but still hauling rocks on the ice. Easier than a boat
I too have not had the best service from marcum and I don’t live close enough to go to there office. I’m just glad after 2 weeks I got my lx6 back and haven’t had any issues since
What I’ve heard and I can’t say it’s true or not just what a friend heard this spring is they netting a bunch of walleyes and I’d assume perch too and moved them to Whitewood lake to the south and drained dry lake #2 (no pun intended). I don’t want to spread bad rumors that are not true bc I don’t live around there but that’s what I heard and I repeat I don’t know if that’s true or not.
Thanks for all the replies. I figured they were worth how simple they are to open and close. I’ve seen a few places have them on sale now so will probably get some while they’re still available.
I have the 13 qt and I do not regret the size but I only use it for ice fishing smaller minnows out of a portable. If I had a permanent house and or wanted to keep bigger chubs or what not I’d get the 19 also. I wouldn’t use mine as a regular cooler. Over the years it has developed the minnow smell inside.
Power precision vs commander rod. I have the power precision and have heard that the commander rod is preferred by most walleye guys. What would everyone say is the difference in action / lure weight/ presentation. Not trying to hijack the thread but thought it could help.
I agree also with everyone else. Would make a great wheel house auger but don’t expect more than 25 holes if the ice is thicker than 12″. Changing batteries on it can be kind of a pain too vs the other battery augers where they pop on and off easy.
I’ve had my phone run out of battery to many times either from using navionics or using phone in cold weather. I bought a garmin 64s handheld for this year. It does what I was looking for, lake maps and to tell me where I’m at and I’m happy with it. And I still use navionics too
Agree with everyone else on this, great show and I learned a lot. After the show I looked at lake maps on navionics and marked 30-40 different spots I wouldn’t of normally fished but will try it now
Make sure your Allen wrench bolt is tight to your auger. Mine had a good wobble to it also and it was a couple turns loose. Hope it’s an easy fix like mine was for you.
