A day with a guide in Zihuatanejo about 10 years ago. Wife took too much dramamine so she slept on the boat most of the day. I ended up with (3) sails that day. I’ll never forget the wife waking up just long enough to take pics then back to sleep she went.

Only thing I was disappointed about was I never ran into Andy. grin

Weird this just came up again today. My wife has finally talked me into my first tattoo. My appointment is in about 2 hrs. Not exactly outdoors but it is a compass for all the traveling we do.

We’ll see how it goes. shock

Again…I’m no engine guy…anything construction wise I can handle, 30 years in the industry. When it comes to engines I leave that to someone that knows what they are doing.

    I realize I’m an idiot!!

That aside, I still need to get it fixed. If I do it now or after the move I am still going to need a repair shop. If I take it somewhere this week I don’t have to deal with it during the move.

My question still stands. Any recommendations for a shop?

I never use the auto turn, use the snow blower all the time and it works great.

How do you not use the auto turn? Everything I’ve read it is always there/on.

Any other real world experience from recent purchases? It just seems there were a ton of bad reviews several years ago but not many recently. Wondering if maybe they changed something and it works better in more recent models.

When you say “you hardly ever use it”, do you mean the machine or you use the machine but hardly use the auto turn? Can the auto turn be turned off?

It will be our permanent residence. And I really don’t want to be beholden to anyone waiting on them to get the driveway clear. So I don’t think having a service is the answer for us.

All those compelled to not buy licenses here in the metro, go for it. Less people on lakes I fish. Five fish is plenty! Win win for m

That would be best for you and lots of other people. But what about all the stuff I always hear about we “need to get more people into fishing”…”take someone fishing”? 5 panfish is a good way to reverse that.

You were pulling out every MONSTER sunny you caught before. Sounds like you will continue to do so. So what’s the difference?

    [/quote]

Where did you get that? Have you ever seen me fish, and keep monsters? I often release many of the larger fish. But, I was able to keep a reasonable amount of fish. If I decide to purchase a license this year (again on the fence) I will be keeping as many of the larger fish I can, and would expect LOTS of people will be doing the same thing.

I realize no one cares what I do, that’s fine. We used to have a cabin on Mille Lacs and because of the way that has been so screwed up we sold that years ago. What they are doing is driving people away from fishing instead of doing the opposite which is what they always preach.

I totally agree with the special regs on certain lakes, I have witnessed too much carnage on the sunfish and crappies, plenty of lakes to catch your numbers of fish, too many people, good eqipment, knowledge,, give these fish a break, its only in some special lakes

I’d look a again. It is on A LOT of lakes…way more than a few special lakes!!

Grouse and Brewery Builder, are you guys making non-deductible contributions to a Traditional IRA? If so, can I ask why you’d go that route instead of putting it in a taxable investment account?

We do it because the interest grows tax free. Just another way to grow tax free when you have exhausted everything else.

By the way, no kids here, so no place to put money there.

Here is my question to people smarter than I.
My wife and I both max out our 401K (split evenly between before and after tax). We both max out our HSA. And we both max out our IRA (we can not do a Roth because of income levels). Is there anywhere else we can put retirement money?

Although I’d like to eat all of them the first time, I make WAY too much on purpose so I have cold ones for lunch the next day…and sometimes the day after. grin

But yes, the air fryer brings them back to almost as they were right out of the oil.

I like the bands. Also my budy put a nice design in the cork so I don’t want to cover it up.

Thanks Denny, but I did see the ones at Scheels and none of them are red.

You can print as many copies as you like. You can also save a copy to your computer and print out anytime.

    +1
I always print one for my wallet so I almost always have it. One for the boat glove box incase I forget my wallet. And one for my tackle box in case I forget my wallet and am in someone else’s boat. Also have it on my computer incase I ever need another copy.

We were on South Padre Island Friday – Monday. It was highs of 40-41 with rain and 25-30 mph winds all weekend. Woke up Monday with no power and everything was closed from the island all the way to the airport. We couldn’t get anything to eat and couldn’t even put gas in the rental car. We felt lucky to get on the plane out. All in all a very disappointing trip. A pretty cool place though…defiantly going back.

Hard pipe all the way to the dryer and empty the lint screen every use. The times I have had to move a dryer for remodels or replacement I have never seen more than a golf balls worth of lint. Just my experience.

If you’re having problems with lint in the vent that you need to move the dryer often, there is a problem with the dryer lint screen. The dryer shouldn’t need to be moved hardly ever. The lint screen should be catching 99% of lint. If lint is getting into the vent that’s a fire hazard.

The refs have totally decided……to call a penalty when they see one. Don’t have a horse either, but also haven’t seen a flag that wasn’t an obvious penalty.

This is funny timing. I just bought one last week. This is the one I got. It helps a lot with dialog BUT not quite as much as I had hoped going by the reviews. Still pretty happy with it. Not sure there is much else out there that could help with my poor hearing.

On a side note, once I got the sound bar and connected it to the TV the wife decided I should get a new TV to go with it. yay

REALLY HAPPY with the TV however…can’t believe the picture!

That is what I was wondering but seems pretty big. Would have to have been a stray dog…none in the neighborhood that large. Whatever it was it caught some animal and shredded it in our front yard.

I put water in my 5 gallon bucket and put them in there, works perfect. I use a plastic beer mug from an old Fishing for Ducks tourney. Always stays in the sled.

What should the limit be on crappie 3 fish ? Isn’t it at ten now ?

I agree with this comment. I think lowering panfish limits is ridicules. You drop sunfish limits to 10, people are going to start keeping those pigs that everyone says need to be released, just to get a decent meal. Crappie is already at 10. A limit a 5 is silly. I know how unpopular this opinion is on this site so go ahead and bash away. But I like to fish, keep fish, and eat fish A LOT.

I think they could raise boat registration costs and make it more in line with the vehicle system (i.e. the more expensive the vehicle the more expensive the registration). I don’t think they should raise fishing license costs. That should remain inexpensive so everyone can enjoy.

For the last 2-3 years I have been using a Makita with 5a battery and 8″ (7.5) k-drill. I get 15-20 holes in 16-20″ of ice. Are your batteries old maybe?
