They were up in the bays. We had warm weather before I got there and while there. Fishing a clam bed and the trees along shore where fish were feeding.

I took longer bolts and ran through bottom of soft case through where the transducer arm goes and the same hole on the other side. I can still pull case over back of unit to access battery and my unit doesn’t fall out of case now.

I posted this last week when the new site was still getting the kinks out and it wasn’t visible unless you went searching for it. Sorry, but I felt I had to repost to again thank Paul and give a report about the smallies in Green Bay.

My brother in law and I were out on P 4 yesterday too. It was our 1st time there. My boat really struggled to catch fish. We started with plastics, then switched to meat that brother in laws boat was using and catching a few. We quit about 5 pm. It was a long cold day, but a good experience for a newcomer to P 4. Glad you got it some.

Our washing machine was leaving at residue on our clothes. It kind of looked like lint, but more “gummy”. It ended up being the fabrics softener cup and below it needed to be cleaned out. It was disgusting, but fixed the problem.

    Jeffrey,
Do you have a HDS 5 or a LMS unit? I don’t think my HDS 7 has a Flasher mode, unless I’m missing something.

Well , I’ve checked the voltage, it was o.k. and took unit and hooked it up to my brother-in-law’s boat and still nothing. My unit is only 5 months old, so I’ll have to call Lowrance when I get home. Thanks you guys for your suggestions.

Thanks for the web sites. I had looked at rivergages and the flow is 43000cfs. I think last year it was close to that. What does “action ” stage mean. Based off of the predictions, it would be fishable or am I wrong?

Congrats, nice fish! Was there a lot of people on the barge?

Thanks Dan. It will be a learning thing for us, but looking forward to it. I’m sure we will try jigs, blade baits, three-ways and might try bottom bouncers if we can troll or drift.
Any other advice from everyone is much appreciated. If you see us up ther next week, say hi. We will be in a 17ft. black Lund Fisherman.

Dan, we’re staying at “the Landing”. Looks nice! I see they have doubled outflow from roughly 25,000 to 45,000, but I don’t know if that equals tricky fishing or not? The only experiece I have on the Miss. was my grandpa used to take me up to Pepin for a few summers.

Thanks for the advice Dave. I just want to be careful. I’m taking my 12yr. old son, my brother-in-law and his young son. Hopefully we can find a couple fish and have fun at a “new” place.
BTW- nice northern in previos post!

    Flatboat,
When you say gorged, I assume that means it’s a little crowded? I’m thinking of driving 3 plus hours up to Guttenburg in the next week or two.

I chewed a can a day for twenty years and got fed up with the cost and scared about cancer. I found an herbal chew that is the closest thing to copenhagen. It’s called Smokey Mountain(straight blend). Without it I don’t think I could have quit. Been clean almost two years and I’m barely chewing the fake stuff.
