big creek is still to cold, I fish alot of privite ponds and there doing great, a little lake like badger creek would warm up alot faster, the north shore with all the tree stumps would be your best bet. did also here that a few where being caught back in lost island(big creek) above the spill way

yes, if there any open seats that weekend and would like to share them, would make it worth your while, money wise and freindship, the knowledge would be very helpful also, its a long haul with a boat from where at so it is guide’s or get to know so locals and make it worth there while for the day and hope to make new freinds and if the got the time we do alot of crappie fishing, 14-15 inch slab very common. maybe we can hook up.

no they were all very small 1-3inches at the most, for some reason this spot does not produce any large ones-yellow or greys, I’v got others spots that they have not even came up yet.(lack of sun) but they’ll be there. I’ll try to post a pic. this was the only way i could show you, there under my sign. to the left.

being from Iowa, I would suggest the mississippi, the farbult erea is nice but not rugged enough. lots of little fish, but as always you have that chance for that nasty old miss. fish and alot of really nice sights.and growing up around cedar falls area, your not that far almost strait north to redwing or pepin(lots of nice boating area. It’s kinda like okaboji in july!!!!!have fun

you must have been over in white breast, across from the boat ramp at the visition center there are three coves, if you go to the middle one, fish on the north bank, there is a nice shelf they should be laying below, back to the back, there is a willow tree. they maybe there. also of the white breast dock, go to the south, in the big cove, toward the power lines, bluff off to the right, small cove on the other side, 15ft off the bank it drops 6ft at normal pool, there always around there, or if you know where the burnt car is on the bank going back to white breast creek is, they should be around them tree’s. so many place’s not enough space good luck, roberts creek should be turned on

there are many of good crappie lakes, but the best would be redrock res. near knoxville,Ia, many of camping resorts, if the lake is high go to roberts creek, there is new regulations this year so be aware. they will be looking especially for out of staters. bass lake would be a small lake called hopper(its the upper lake to lake Aqubie) which is south of Indianola(south of Des moines) on hwy 65\69 lots of bass and big red ear blue gills and some crappies. Its called a sleeper lake. youd need to email me because its one of those hard to find lakes that are not on the map. then there’s lake aquabie which is the lower lake. lake badger creek is another good bass lake crappies are small 9-10inches which is west of west desmoines on grand ave(west side of Interstate 80) about 10 miles. good luck [email protected]
