I just filled out my 2010 apps. It’s always fun writing out that check for $746.25. I’m not one of those guys that draws tags. If history repeats itself, with 6 bonus points, I have about 4 more years to go!
Good luck to you.
September 10, 2009 at 3:39 am #57813Thanks for the input. I figured 3.5 years b/c of how much smaller he was just 2 months ago. I added a pic of him from 7/7/09 and he looked like that almost all summer.
September 10, 2009 at 2:38 am #57808I have one of these running around out back. It’s sad to watch him get around. But it is amazing how fast he can run with 3 working legs. I don’t want to highjack your post, but I posted a pic of this buck called “Cool Buck”. Scroll down toward the bottom to see the latest pics of him. I’ll bump it toward the top so check it out if you can.

low 150’s more than likely 4.5 years old
i know id like to be hunting him
I live in city limits so I have to get certified and I didn’t b/c I was planning on giving him another year. Long story short, my wife fell in love with another house and now we have a big, fat Edina realty sign on our lawn. It’s too late to get certified this year, so I probably won’t get another chance at him next year.
July 4, 2009 at 6:55 pm #53282We are in the city limits. But, according to a local archery shop, I can hunt but I need to be certified (take a course). I have not done this yet, but I plan to. We’ve been here 3 years and every year there is at least one deer that is hobbling around after being hit by a car. So, if I do shoot one in my yard, it will be just for a mercy harvest. Exactly one year ago, we saw this very deer in our backyard fall down three times after we accidentally spooked him by going out back to light fireworks. Even though I am a hunter, I hate to see animals suffer.
April 27, 2009 at 1:32 am #50658That should be fine. On my last bull I shot a 90 grain muzzy 4 blade. That bull was 25 yards away and only went on 150 yards and died. I had three different times on three different bulls, my furthest shot was 35 yards. I missed twice. Good luck and have fun. There’s nothing better than an archery bull tag.
February 25, 2009 at 5:47 pm #47945Here’s what I do, and so far i’m 2for2, a P&Y Bull Elk and a small 9pt. Whitetail. When out scouting I look for cows/does bedded down. When they leave I’ll get in there bed & scoop the pee/dirt into a empty water bottle, put the cap back on it and let it cook in the sun until it gets nice and ripe. This year I had zero luck with the store bought scents. The day I shot my buck there was a doe bedded in my backyard so I grabbed my water bottle and got some of that fresh stuff. Later that day I got to my treestand and dumped it on the ground and 15 min. I got my 1st Whitetail.
January 27, 2009 at 4:13 pm #741911IMO Gambler is the best boat on the market. You get everything speed, ride & a TON of deck space. A buddy of mine has one & we ran 82mph (gps) with a full tourny load.
December 26, 2008 at 4:50 pm #45991I use Minox 10×52, crystal clear & great in low light conditions.

December 16, 2008 at 9:37 pm #729320Have you taken the SS for a test drive yet? I drove one & I was blown away by the power.
December 7, 2008 at 3:50 pm #45021Sorry for the confusion. Back in Arizona, we call these deer Eastern whitetails. But, yes, this deer was shot in Minnesota.
This was completely different hunting for me. I am used to spot and stalk and glassing. I didn’t know about just sitting in a tree stand waiting for an animal to come by. But I’m hooked. It was one of the most fun hunts I’ve ever had!
September 11, 2008 at 12:30 am #37861IMO that’s the only way to hunt elk, not saying that sitting in a tree stand isn’t effective I just think its funner being on the ground chasing them. Don’t be surprised if you get them even closer than 30-40 yards. On my last hunt (05) I had a bull @ 4 foot, boy was I scared. It sounds like your all set but if you would here how we hunt them in AZ, give me a call 480 586 0163
September 10, 2008 at 8:43 pm #37851Good luck. How do you plan on hunting, sitting a tank or calling?
April 25, 2008 at 4:54 pm #678525Sheriff Joe has getting alot of heat over the way he’s been takeing care of the illegal immigration problem. Remember, he’s doing what he was elected to do, get the bad guys off the streets.
April 25, 2008 at 3:35 pm #678696I was born & raised in AZ, so give me the website i’ll buy some of his stuff. Instead of talking bad about sheriff Joe, maybe you should write him a letter thanking him protecting AZ and the rest of the country.

Why is it a comedian can come up with a perfectly good solution and the government cant.
The reason is that the government is too worried about offending anyone–plus, the legal U.S. taxpayers will pick up the bill.
