Why is there only a stairway to Heaven, but we need a highway to Hell?

He just wanted it gone because he said like 5 people had called 911 because of a damn chicken.

The people calling that in should be charged with being stupid and wasting an officer’s time.

Depends on if it’s a hen or a rooster. A rooster can tear up a kid’s legs pretty bad with their spurs. Even an adult can be cut up by them.

At a neighbor’s cabin he has a 5 quart ice cream lid with a slinky attached to it on the shaft of a shepard’s hook. Pretty funny to see how fast the squirrel returns to the ground when they grab the slinky.

    What would you name yours?

It would have to be large boat but I’d name it “Irish Wake”

Listening to an Americana station on XM a while back and they played 4 consecutive songs, 3 of them I hadn’t heard in years that made a long drive shorter.

    Crazy Love – Poco
    The Weight -The Band
    Dixie Chicken -Little Feat
    Whipping Post -Allman Brothers

According to some friends that are firemen, the width of the aisles in stores are controlled by local ordinances and if the fire marshal makes the effort to enforce them.

Trump can pardon him for his income tax conviction, but it has nothing to do with his lifetime ban from MLB or the HOF.

That’s what they are Eelpoutguy. My grandson found them helping me clean out a closet. He thought they were pretty cool, so he kept 1 and wanted to sell the others so I let put the add up. I figured there was probably an app for it by now.

    Sorry I don’t understand EP?
The book is pocket sized. 3.5″ X 5.5″. I can’t get a picture to post here. I’ve tried several times.

Many great movies listed, but 2 of my favorites I didn’t see mentioned are Escape From New York and No Way Out.

“cant ya just go to a local business and get the license you need???”

The Hastings Ace told me they can’t sell or print them yet because of a new system the state is rolling out.

I must be the oddball here. I had a 20’ glass boat I bought new and the first summer I went through 2 sets of Carlisles, warranty both times. Switched to marathons and I’d get about a year out of a set of those. I now have a 20 foot aluminum boat that came with marathons on it and those lasted one summer, granted they were used when I got the boat. I since then put cheapie tow king brand tires on it and they lasted two summers and still look great. Now we rarely even put the boat on the trailer so they will be good forever. When we did travel a lot it was to Lake Michigan a few times a summer, a couple trips to chamberlain, a couple to Green Bay and usually once to devils lake so it saw some miles but I was less than impressed. I would like to try the endurance ones to see what they are all about. People sure like them.

Carlisle had a period where they made crap tires but they seem to have changed for the better in the last 5 years or so. It’s been more than 10 years since Good Year stopped making Marathons so they may have been very old tires.

They didn’t have DEF in 2014 did they? I’m not a diesel guy but I think dutch is pulling some shenanigans here.

    From a Prestone site:

    EPA Regulations Mandating DEF
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued new emissions regulations in 2010 that required diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) in diesel engines. These regulations, known as Nonroad Tier 4, apply to diesel engines used in off-highway applications such as construction, agriculture, and industrial sites.

I didn’t use them but weren’t there artificial weeds you could sink when you were ice fishing to create fake structure? That seemed like a huge gimmick.

    Also, the Banjo minnow.

I’d forgotten about Reel Weeds. A friend and I made our own out of Christmas holly and tinsel. May have fooled us but not the fish.

I should have used a capitol M in Marine. I meant “the few the proud the chosen” Marines.

A variation on the magnet. Attaching two magnets with a hose clamp around the gas line.

A history teacher told us years ago that “the $hit hitting the fan” was a marine phrase in WW2 for the turning point in a battle.

He had his flaws but when my son was about 10 Babe was at the Deer Classic in St Paul. He talked to my son for at least a 1/2 hour. Not treating him like a kid but having a serious conversation about fishing techniques. I’ve always been grateful for the way he treated my son.

We’ve been on South Padre since Jan 2 and we’ve had 5 or 6 warm weather days. This morning it’s 39 degrees and raining with a 34mph wind.

I spend a month every winter down in Texas. I’m also a Minnesotan that doesn’t really care about the Vikings or the Packers. I’ve seen both sets of fans at their worst and I’d have to say that all the Packer and Viking fans combined can’t match a hand full of Cowboy fans when it comes to being obnoxious.

Norwest based in MN used to be a great bank before they acquired Wells Fargo who had a reputation for being a POORLY run bank that was based in CA. Rather than Norwest lifting up the bad segment, Wells Fargo dragged down the entire combined company….

A former customer and former shareholder

But it’s the Norwest executives that ran Wells Fargo after the acquisition.
Another former customer and former shareholder.

It looks like Home Depot recycles them:

The types of rechargeable batteries in use include lithium-ion and nickel-cadmium batteries. Other types are nickel-metal hydride, nickel-zinc and small sealed lead batteries. The toxic metals used in these batteries can hurt the environment if thrown away.

Rechargeable 9-volt batteries, AA and AAA batteries and D cells for household use look like alkaline batteries. But they can be reused with compatible plug-in chargers. Rechargeable batteries can be recycled. Look for the battery recycling seals on rechargeable batteries.

Recycling companies dispose of the components of rechargeable batteries properly. The metals and chemicals don’t end up in streams and landfills.

The Home Depot has partnered with Call2Recycle, a nonprofit battery recycling program. Rechargeable batteries can be dropped off in Call2Recycle bins at the store. Any rechargeable battery that weighs up to 11 pounds and is under 300 watt hours is accepted. There’s no charge for recycling.
Many local districts host collection events for residents to drop off batteries.
Some battery manufacturers and recycling facilities have mail-in programs. Before mailing batteries, be sure to follow postal shipping precautions.

If you want to eat at Joe’s Seafood it’s on the mainland in Port Isabelle not on the Island.

My wife and I usually go out on launches from Louie’s. We’ve caught quite a few whitings on the launches.
Most people use spinning gear but I’ve used my own baitcaster on charters and have seen others fishing with them.
Steven is right that it’s hard to beat the seafood at Joe’s. It’s served on paper plates with plastic utensils but the Nate’s special is a great meal.

Has anyone actually taken a Coleman 1 pound cylinder and a fuel keg or a flame king cylinder and cut it in half to see what kind of metal and how they’re constructed on the inside? I’m just curious, you think they would have to make them thicker if they wanted to take on the liability of refilling. I’ve never seen either one of them up close and sometimes wonder how did they make those things proprietary. Do they have an extra little peg or something that a Coleman cylinder doesn’t accommodate so that it stops a Coleman cylinder from coming up to the fill level?

I think the thing that has to be beefed up and what they can have a proprietary design on is the valve system.
