I spend a month every winter down in Texas. I’m also a Minnesotan that doesn’t really care about the Vikings or the Packers. I’ve seen both sets of fans at their worst and I’d have to say that all the Packer and Viking fans combined can’t match a hand full of Cowboy fans when it comes to being obnoxious.

Norwest based in MN used to be a great bank before they acquired Wells Fargo who had a reputation for being a POORLY run bank that was based in CA. Rather than Norwest lifting up the bad segment, Wells Fargo dragged down the entire combined company….

A former customer and former shareholder

But it’s the Norwest executives that ran Wells Fargo after the acquisition.
Another former customer and former shareholder.

Just a little better, but only $100 million is guaranteed.

It looks like Home Depot recycles them:

The types of rechargeable batteries in use include lithium-ion and nickel-cadmium batteries. Other types are nickel-metal hydride, nickel-zinc and small sealed lead batteries. The toxic metals used in these batteries can hurt the environment if thrown away.

Rechargeable 9-volt batteries, AA and AAA batteries and D cells for household use look like alkaline batteries. But they can be reused with compatible plug-in chargers. Rechargeable batteries can be recycled. Look for the battery recycling seals on rechargeable batteries.

Recycling companies dispose of the components of rechargeable batteries properly. The metals and chemicals don’t end up in streams and landfills.

The Home Depot has partnered with Call2Recycle, a nonprofit battery recycling program. Rechargeable batteries can be dropped off in Call2Recycle bins at the store. Any rechargeable battery that weighs up to 11 pounds and is under 300 watt hours is accepted. There’s no charge for recycling.
Many local districts host collection events for residents to drop off batteries.
Some battery manufacturers and recycling facilities have mail-in programs. Before mailing batteries, be sure to follow postal shipping precautions.

Your location might help in helping you. Our county Recycle Zone in Dakota County MN accepts Lithium batteries.

If you want to eat at Joe’s Seafood it’s on the mainland in Port Isabelle not on the Island.

My wife and I usually go out on launches from Louie’s. We’ve caught quite a few whitings on the launches.
Most people use spinning gear but I’ve used my own baitcaster on charters and have seen others fishing with them.
Steven is right that it’s hard to beat the seafood at Joe’s. It’s served on paper plates with plastic utensils but the Nate’s special is a great meal.

Has anyone actually taken a Coleman 1 pound cylinder and a fuel keg or a flame king cylinder and cut it in half to see what kind of metal and how they’re constructed on the inside? I’m just curious, you think they would have to make them thicker if they wanted to take on the liability of refilling. I’ve never seen either one of them up close and sometimes wonder how did they make those things proprietary. Do they have an extra little peg or something that a Coleman cylinder doesn’t accommodate so that it stops a Coleman cylinder from coming up to the fill level?

I think the thing that has to be beefed up and what they can have a proprietary design on is the valve system.

Renting is typically one of the most expensive ways to have a water softener especially if you plan on having it for a long time. I see customers renting them for 15-20 years and Culligen has done nothing to them but cash the check.

    $45 a month for 10 years is $5400.

It’s $4500 but I get your point. We plan on being in this house 5-7 more years so renting makes sense. If things changes, I can buy it out.

It’s a good business model for Culligan but not having to outlay cash upfront outweighs that for me.

    Mike Was math is right. 12 months x 45 = 540 x 10 years is 5400

I think the guy is a giant PIA for his neighbors. He doesn’t get what he wants so he punishes his neighbors with the lights? My guess is there are other issues with him as well, I know I wouldn’t want a chicken coop in my next door neighbors back yard. Especially if it’s a neighborhood where the homes are close together. I live in development where our homes are on 3 acres so wouldn’t be a big deal here. OMG, mid typing and I just revisited the link and saw the chicken in the window! That’s priceless. Admittedly that’s my kind of sense of humor but still in the end I think he’s a PIA.

Whats wrong with chickens. Especially like most city limits to no roosters ? All my neighbors have chickens and never once have i thought to myself ” wow I hate those chicken, and the happiness it brings that family “.

If the city allows it I wouldn’t complain about a neighbor having chickens, but growing up on a farm with 600 laying hens, I can’t think of anything that smells nearly as bad as chicken sh*t. Hogs don’t even come close.

Back and joint pain is caused by a lot of little things that add up to a big problem. Improving your flexibility and core strength will help but addressing the little things like your uncomfortable truck seats, a worn out bed or a wallet in your back pocket will help. No one thing is going to fix the problem but anything you can eliminate will help.

Interesting. That must be why they jacked the price up on them so much. I just assumed it was the ol real estate trick. If you can’t sell garbage for cheap, try doubling the price and see if people think it’s actually worth something. Unfortunately for RAM that trick didn’t work and they still can’t move their trucks. Hopefully the OP doesn’t go this route. A hurtin back and a severe case of buyers remorse would be a terrible combination.

I’m with Bearcat on this one. On our block it’s Ram, Chevy, Nissan, Ram, Ford and Ram for trucks.

The orthopedic surgeon that did both my hips told me that a wallet may not be the original cause of back and joint pain but it is a major irritant if you have back or joint issues.

Pat k. Did u take your boat to specialty shop to have seals and oil changed?

The 1st time it was an auto repair shop in Alexandria because I was there fishing when I noticed the leak. The 2nd time was at Dakota Marine in Farmington where I usually have my boat serviced.

Nice good info to know . Do you use it alot ? I put probably 7-10,000 miles on it a year . I fish 2-3 times a week at times . .

I put 1500 to 2000 miles a year on it.

My 2006 trailer has had the oil changed twice but still the original bearings and races. There was a leak after about 7 years and I had the oil and seals replaced. Last year I just thought it was time and had the oil and seals replaced again. The tech said the bearings still looked fine. Both techs that worked on it said the bearings will run quite a while if the lube leaks out because of the synthetic lube that’s used.

I just cannot pull the trigger for either one of these clowns.
Heading to the booth in an hour or so. Good thing it’s close to a bar.

Good thing they changed the law. I remember when bars and liquor stores were closed on election day and couldn’t open until the polls closed.

It’s a unicorn year, where Sunday morning isn’t an hour early! Love these years.

I like not having to deal with the time change. There always seems to be one guy that’s confused by the change and is waking everybody up an hour early.

Go to the mill and buy your corn, you’re not doing the farmer any favors by buying it directly from them and most are busy enough that they are just going to view you as a pain in the butt for asking. Nothing more annoying growing up on a farm than when a city slicker came out looking for “ just a little corn or dirt or manure” and then act like you’re doing them a favor by taking it. Case in point your buddy could have saved you 15 bushels in a wagon and didn’t.

There are just as many reporters, Fans, player, coaches, Ect. That feel what he did should not keep him out of the HOF. I’m in that group. Betting on games that you don’t have anything to do with the outcome doesn’t bother me at all. Now if they can prove he bet on his own team and did anything to effect the outcome of that game is a different matter. I don’t think that has ever been proven. The HOF should be about a players playing career and nothing else. His #’s speak for themself on that. To me it was sad to see him die without ever getting the honor. Just my .02 worth

I think he belongs in the HOF but this is from The Sporting News:

Rose denied any wrongdoing, but the investigation found that the “accumulated testimony of witnesses, together with the documentary evidence and telephone records reveal extensive betting activity by Pete Rose in connection with professional baseball and, in particular, Cincinnati Reds games, during the 1985, 1986, and 1987 baseball seasons.”

Unfortunately I can tell you to not use Simple Green or any other citrus based cleaner. I did and only made things worse.
