last Friday we did all right on clear lake. Caught about 25 yellow bass and 5 walleyes. only one walleye was big enougth to keep, taping out at 18”. The yellow started at one in the afternoon and we quiet about six. All the fish that we caught were at farmer beach along with other 20 houses. In my opinion in the long run, the fish will be moving over by the island.

I have talked to two different groups of guy from my home town that fish clear lake and they told me that they were getting there limit of walleyes and some yellow bass. I will be over there on friday and I will get back to you.

went out to day about noon and hunted one place. me and a couple of freinds went out and we ended up with nine and we were done. It was fun to watch my dog finally get on some birds for the first time. It was nice to see the hard work payed off this summer. good luck to all and to all good luck

I think that all dogs can be gun shy. It all depends on how you train a dog. I got mine to retreave and she will flush just fine. One thing that I have notes was that she will loose interest in hunting if you don’t see a lot of birds. I hope that she will get better.

I agree with you on all the corn that is still in. I didn’t see alot of people hunting on sat. It was a mad house last year. From the weekend that I had, there is a lot of room for improvement since I only see one bird the hole weekend but I think things will get better when all the corn comes out.

I am just hopping for a little bit of rain so it will stop the people that only go out there on the opening weekend and thats all they go out. that is what I needed. This is my first time training a dog and it seem like all I do is trap pigeons for my dog to flush. I still need a little help but it will come. I will get her to work the feild next year. From what I here the lab are a lot faster than a lab when working the ground but can a golden learn from a lab when working the the field?????? I am hoping.

Are they a hole lot different than a lab? I always thought that a golden Retriver is just about the same as a lab.
