Well I stopped in and ended up with a perch sweetheart and a walleye sweetheart. Almost grabbed a panfish rod too but decided to save some of my xmas bonus. Thank you for all of your suggestions.

Would the walleye sweetheart work well for a jiggin rap?

I’ve personally never owned a boat that had a 4 stroke motor so the sound isn’t an issue for me. It’s between Suzuki and Evinrude for me but I’m worried I will be disappointed with the Suzuki performance out of the hole knowing that the Evinrude is superior in that regard.

Ice fishing for me is more about relaxing than catching fish and there’s no chance I’m going to fish on the ice without a shelter.

Some of you are far more dedicated to catching than me. I personally love sitting in my hub, coat off, heater cranked, hoping I setup on a good spot, because once that first beer is opened I’m not moving. With that said, I do know the lakes I fish pretty well and almost always come home with enough to eat.

Best I’ve ever used

I’ve been using a Helix 7 for ice fishing for a few seasons now and at first I was very careful about how I packed it and how I handled it. I’ve been far less careful about how I pack it now and it’s been in some rough spots on the sled a couple of times. No issues so far.

My Helix 7 g2 does the same thing. I’ve learned to just ignore it.
