    Looked a bit today here in northern Illinois and it seems that someone has been in my spot (Branches cut and limbs broken) so ill have to go to my backup spot. im sure ill find some greys in the next week or so.

    Sorry, but the fact of the matter is that the DNR is sharpshooting the deer near feeders. not only that, but they also are issuing too many tags, I agree you don’t have to purchase tags and permits but people always will so you have to count that out.

    as a steelers fan, I will say that the packers are more than my favorite to crush the bears, ( the rest of my family are bears fans.) if eddie lacy is back that game is good as over.

    Nope, you will be fine. if anything the warmth will let you fish w/o gloves which is always a plus, don’t worry about the ice thickness! just keep your boots out of the slush as much as possible.

    very werid… never heard of catching smallies through the ice, I did however somehow manage to catch 4 small largemouts today and a walleye while crappie fishing. strange indeed, nice fish though

    Thanks, any specific jig I should try? if it helps the body of water that I fish is moderately stained.

    there is one spot here in Illinois where the depth absolutely crashes from a steady 6 to about 19. I believe that is where they are. im goin tomorrow to get em! was your jig like the Swedish pimple? thanks

    I just got two of my augers blades sharpened by a guy in near Chicago, ill give the name later but he works on them the night he gets em and sends em back right away! doesn’t even charge return shipping.

    Wow, ive had big bass and even small walleyes do it when fishing plastics and jigs but a pike? I wonder if a muskie would do it….

    Took my boat off the dock about 3 weeks ago sad day indeed, still active with the ice fishing and what not though.

    im assuming that you own a shanty/ icehoue? if that alone is not enough to keep you warm, I would suggest that you invest 20 dollars or so into a zippo re-fillable handwarmer, it runs off kerosene and hasn’t failed me once! tightlines!
