I do have a brand new console set for 2016 Edge 185 still in their boxes.
Alumacraft replaced them for me under warranty. But wouldn’t cover the labor to install.
I sold the boat and forgot I had them.

I just took my chute off and did it from above working down on each paddle as I turned the impeller then braced it with a 2×4. Not easy to get hands in there but it worked fine for me. I would not have wanted to take the whole thing apart just for this.

Mine is just barely touching the metal sides. So I am not worried about the belt.
But I will say I have only needed to use the snowblower a couple of times this year so I am very grateful for that.

I did it with my 8 hp 26″ blower this fall.
So far I have noticed a difference. I wouldn’t say its amazing. But it does throw it farther.
Maybe the wet heavy stuff only goes a few feet farther.But at least its not right next to the edge of the driveway.
Also, I did not buy a kit, I made my own out of pieces of rubber and used sheet metal screws that I had on hand. So other than a an hour of my time. Mine was free.

I’m going to try and catch a few Bass and Crappies this weekend on Zumbro.
I have never been there before with my boat so it will be new to me.
I want to chase crappies but I am taking my nephew and he has really gotten into Bass.
I believe there may still be a no wake so I will probably spend most of my time using trolling motor and moving along the shore.
I will post back on if we found any.

I would hunt no matter what. You can’t shoot one at home, has always been my thought when it comes to rain or snow.
Unless it’s a downpour, thunderstorm.
The deer live in it everyday of their lives. It’s normal to them. They should still moves at their normal prime times, you just may not as much day activity as you might if it was perfect cooler weather with a high pressure system in place.
The rut may be a bit subdued due to the warmer than freezing temps that we have had lately but if buck are chasing does… the rain may not hurt 1 bit.

I haven’t towed my boat yet but I have NO worries about it. Plenty of horsepower and heavy enough. I used to pull my Alumacraft Edge 185 with my Traverse so this thing will be much better.
Plenty of room for what I need and on the first two tanks of gas I got 28.3 MPG
I drive like an old person and mostly highway but I am still very happy.

There was nothing on Pepin this weekend. I was out both days, Saturday I was down by Wabasha for lunch and Sunday up near Maiden Rock.
No Mayflies yet! Hopefully they wait until 2019

We are currently looking for homes as well.
We listed our house today. It went “Live” around 1:30pm
We had 3 showings this afternoon and just got our first offer around 7:00pm for $3,000 over our asking price.
We have two home we like and I just know that if we don’t decide by the weekend, they will both be gone.

Appreciate that you gave ideas. More than most that just say ban them. But I strongly disagree with many of your points. First and foremost, the AR platform is just that big scary black gun to most. Civilian versions are simply semi-‘s that are easy to add accessories and not Assault Rifles which are already banned from civilian purchases. But, for your “everyday Savage 270 deer rifle” in a semi-auto, you can buy a rail system for attaching accessories – See pic below – making your every day Remington or savage a scary black gun.
Additionally, you can buy a CCU for your Glock, 1911,… that simply accepts your lower and imediately convert a handgun to a rifle. Only difference is you are now sending your projectile down a longer barrel for increased accuracy at greater distance

Who gets the additional profit margin?? So we create an environment where only the “rich” can have them. We all know that 99.999% of firearm owners are responsible law abiding folks. It ok for a rich person to have the opportunity, but not the lower income person that may have better skill-sets and ability—or possibly a better appreciation for the weapon?

If you REALLY want one, you’ll need to save up for one.

Are you talking about taxing EVERY semi-auto? Sorry, I pay enough taxes. I’m open to paying a extra $2-$5.00 on a Background check as a one time fee. But a recurring tax is BS when talking aboput taxing something that most don’t even know the definition of.
4. High capacity magazines special order ONLY and again must pass the same rigorous background checks and waiting periods.
Define High Capacity please – scary that again we see a term tossed out with no definition. When I go P/dog shooting, I have every mag I own loaded. Its common for me to go through 250-500 rounds. BUT – maybe it should be looked at a restriction on TIME for swapping out a mag. I can drop a mag and insert a fresh one Hollywood style. Since I own a crap load of 10 round mags, I could disperse 100 rounds a minute if I wanted to waste the ammo. However, I hate loading mags in the field. Its dangerous to think about cactus, sage, or other debris easily injected into my firearm based on the dirty environment of which I am operating. To me this is the most slippery slope. Defining “high Capacity”. Where will it end. Eliminate the 100 round mags, to 50, then that’s too many so it gets cut to 30, then cut to 20, then cut to 5, then we are all restricted to a single shot. ONE SHOT FROM A CRIMINAL IS WAY TOO DAM MUCH. YOU WILL NEVER – NEVER – EVER STOP THAT.

5. Must be trained and certified by professional instructors.
Surprisingly, the number of people that go through a safety program of some capacity is quite high. I don’t have exact statistics, so I won’t even guess. I’m a manufacture Rep and i work with dealers throughout IL and WI, and out firm handles TX up through MN. So, as you can imagine, there are a freaking huge amount of dealers in this territory. Of those, there are a lot of sportsmen shooting clubs, ranges, and indoor ranges and are absolutely swamped with training classes in addition to the general hunter safety classes. I am all for increasing individual safety skills and see that in a general sense this will aide in the prevention of some accidents.
6. Raise the minimum age to buy them.
Band aide – Kids(say under 21 YOA) get their parents, steal one, borrow a friends, received it as a gift…and that list will go on and on. where there is a will – there is a way. And if they can’t get a semi-auto rifle, what’s to prevent them from using a pump action? I fear a 12guage pump with buckshot a hell of a lot more than a crazed person with a .223/.556. 12-15 projectiles in 1 shot Vs 1 projectile per shot

This would not infringe on our rights. No one that can legally purchase these firearms would have any of their rights taken away. They would just have to work a little bit harder and wait a little bit longer to get it.
It would make these firearms much more difficult for most people that commit these crime to afford, they wouldn’t want to wait that long and many wouldn’t want to jump through all of the red tape to get one.
I know what some will say and I agree, they will probably just buy one off the street. I mean, They are a criminal after all. But at least this might deter 1 or 3 or 10 of them from buying a high capacity, fast shooting firearm and going into a facility of any kind and killing so many.

Most likely just encourage them to use a different tool if they can not get their tool of choice. Remember, the AR platform is the largest selling rifle platform, therefore they are considered about the most desirable and popular to own. Therefore it only reasons that it would be the most commonly used firearm in a crime. As an example, if consumers bought 100 to 1 Fords Vs Chevy, you would expect more drunks killing people with a Ford than a Chevy. Or if Buck knives sold 1000 to 1 compared to all other knives, you can expect more stabbings to occur with a Buck knife than all others

can’t argue with much of what you said in your second two statements. But I would argue that my ideas above could stop at least a couple of shootings a year. And that is just ONE of 25 different approaches that could be taken with regards to addressing the mental illness, video games, social media, mainstream media, bullying, PROPER PARENTING, the medical field, education in schools, etc.. anything that we can do in EVERY aspect of life will help.
Nothing will stop this. But we can reduce it.

I guess that is more about where I was trying to go with my comments. But you summed it up better.

I have read this entire thread and kept following it over the last few days.
Obviously we all have our beliefs and our opinions on what might help this problem we have in our country.
I truly believe in our 2nd amendment and it’s intended purpose.
I also personally believe that if you remove 1 of the tools that a “killer” uses, he will find another or different tool to carry out their intended purpose.
The thing is, maybe that “other tool” will not be as efficient or as fast at killing as the Assault type weapon. I’m not talking about a bomb, we all know that is about as efficient as they come.

I kind of agree with the bait comment. I don’t think I have ever seen this many minnows and shad in the water before.
Does this mean that we should see a much better size average in the near future since all of the 10-12 ” saugers have plenty of food.
I don’t think I have caught more than 2-3 Walleyes over 16″ this year

I was out on Tuesday night after work. I was attempting to catch Crappies.
It was a bad attempt.
I marked a lot of fish but only caught 1 crappie, 2 perch, 1 smallmouth and a small sauger.
Hoping to get out again tomorrow morning

I have a Limit Creek Smoothie and I absolutely Love it.
I have 2 Gloomis GL3’s and A custom rod that my wife had made for me and I also have a St Croix Avid. But the first rod I always pick up is the Limit Creek, Can’t explain why but this rod feels the best to me.

I’m guessing that the employees of said stores just found out as well.
There are new help wanted ads just placed yesterday for employment there and the help wanted signs are still up in Rochester. But it looks like they are closing now. It’s close to my house, that’s the only reason I ever shopped there ever since they turned into a high-end clothing store.
I can’t believe how far they fell, once they were a pretty good chain of stores.
Fleet Farm has always managed to keep up with everyone and more often than not, they are better. I know that the internet sales has killed stores like Gander but Fleet Farm hasn’t fallen off at all.

I am pretty sure that I was pulling them all wrong. I am Not an experienced troller and there are physics involved that I was not smart enough to figure out.
I guy that I work with is very knowledgeable and clued me in yesterday.
I was setting the rods in the holders and opening the bail on both of my line counters and letting the line out as the boat moves forward. So I wasn’t pulling the bait down essentially until I engaged the reel. By that time there was so much line out that there was probably enough buoyancy in the line and bow to the line, that my bait never even came close to getting to the bottom. As well as I did not check my baits for tracking.
Lesson learned!!!!

I was thinking about that after I read about them probably being out of tune this morning.
I will have to check them because I just tied them on and threw them in the water and went.
Another newbie mistake I guess.

I am running 10# xt

Last night was slow for me. I caught 4 fish. 3 Walleyes and 1 sauger. biggest was 15″
I started out trolling crankbaits by Roeshen Landing and got one small sauger. After and hour I headed over by Deer Island and switched over to a Dubuque rig,
I caught the 3 walleyes in about 14′

I am confused with my new line counter reels. By looking at the Flicker shad depth chart in size 7, I should have to let out approx 60 – 65′ of line to reach 10′ depth. But I didn’t hit bottom until I was at like 130′
I know that all line counters are not extremely accurate but this seemed like alot.
Help??

Thanks for the help guys, It doesn’t sound like I will need an extra net man tonight but I am excited to get out and try my new trolling rods and line counter reels. I have never used them before so it will be something new for me.

They do have kind of a crappy position for the card slot. It is so close to the housing that even getting the card out is nearly impossible.
But to answer your reply, I have removed and re-inserted the card Many times, and it is “clicking” and locking into place.

Had them take out the ski pylon and give me credit for that but I did add the front bow cushions for weekends with friends and family.
Needless to say, tomorrow can not get here soon enough. This will be my first dedicated fishing boat and I am extremely excited.

Actually, I did do ok tonight. I finally got s couple of keepers. I did get 6 small fish again tonight but I also caught 2 fish a little over 17 and 1 just under. All 3 bigger fish came from the same area.

I am going to try to get out tonight right after work. I haven’t seen any posts this week so far.
So I need one of you to tell me exactly where all of the 18-22″ walleyes will be tonight at approx 5:20pm. Also I am feeling extra lazy today so I will need someone to clean them for me tonight when I come off the water.

Last week I used pretty much all Lindy Rigs with crawlers and had some good outings. All small fish but I was happy to have some action. Most of my fish were in 13-14′

A friend of mine said that he was out on Tuesday night and ran into a family that was on the south end of the lake and claimed that they had caught approx 70. I don’t know if they had any size or keepers but it sounded like they were on them.
