It has a no. 2 on top so I should be able to pick on up at fleet farm in auto section. I wonder why my unit has a fuse in it and it seams like nobody else has one in there units??????.Is there a problem with the new units thats why marcum is putting them in?????

This is what I am talking about with fuse. this is a new unit I bought it new from Reeds January 10 of this year.

Thanks Kevin 23 I just wanted to check before cutting wires I was doing everything correctly!!,,What I like about vex chargers for one thing is they work and the other you can leave them plugged in for as long as you want without battery getting hot when they are fully charged and in maintance mode

Kevin 23 does this look correct I was going to cut aligator clips off of vex charger and cut end off of marcum charger and hook up positive to positive neg to neg.

Kevin 23 what you said is what I want to do, I want to cut the alligator clips off vex charger and cut end that plugs into back of marcum and splice wires together so I don’t have to take unit out of bag to charge. Vex battery charger you can leave on all the time when not using. I left my Marcum charger on for two days and battery was still hot. Vex chargers charge battery until full then go into maintance mood the battery is not hot when in maintance mood. the vexilar charger I’m talking about is the V Automatic charger used it on my vex units for 10 years works every time.

Do you think that a 30 inch light legend ice rod would work good for jigging for walleyes???

Can you plug the battery tender in the plug of a lx 7 or do you have to put alligator clips on terminals7??? My charger for my lx 7 doesn’t work correctly I need a new one.

After a poor experence with Marcum’s customer service over a defective charger that doesn’t turn green when fully charged the other day, I decided to send the unit back to where I bought it, the unit is only less than three weeks old,I am calling for a RGA tomorrow morning. I work very hard for my money and want thing that I by work correctly.This put a really bad taste in my mouth from the way service handled this issue all they would have had to do was send me a new charger and things would of been fine.

I emailed marcum today about the charger that doesnt turn green when fully charged it always stays red. They emailed me back and said they not sure why the charger light isn’t switching over to green, dont worry about it and go fish is what Mike Mesch said. Im really surprised Marcum never even did anything to help me out my unit is only two weeks old.

I have only had my unit for 2 weeks now only charged it 3 times only worked once. Do you think it is a bad charger?? This is not the only problem I am having with this unit I also have to turn my gain up almost all the way up to pick up small jigs.I am going to try it one more time and if I still have problems I am going to send it back, it is not worth the headach I will just use my spare lx 5 I have no problems with that unit.

I have a problem with my charger on my lx 7. I got the unit new 2 weeks ago and charged it over night until charger went green worked fine .The next two times I tried to charge my battery the charger stay red for days.I just unpluged it and went fishing. It happened to me again yesterday went fishing in morning for a few hours and plugged it in when i got home checked it in 15 hrs and it was still red on charger. What is wrong.

I guess it could of been the current because A 4mm fiska jig with plastic worked just fine. But why was my Lx 5 not having a problem picking up the same small jig with gain set at 2 ???

My Lx 5 works fine down the same hole with same size jig and gain set at 2.

I might have to do the up date because I can”t alway mark my 3m fiska bait I loose it at bottom even in 6 color i have to crank my gain up at 23 or more and still have to move it because I loose jig at 35 feet. I make sure the ice transducer ducer is under the ice so far not to happy with the lx 7 it might go back to store. and I will use my 8 year old LX 5 instead
