Was out on the Mill Pond in Austin today, picked up quite a few decent gills and crappies along with a bunch of little guys. 4″ to 6″ of ice all over. Setting up for a long ice season!

Thanks! The camera is a Kodak PlaySport ZX5, it shoots 720p and 1080p, and it is water, shock and dust proof. Really good camera for a really reasonable price, I bought that one off ebay refurbished for around 80 bucks.
June 15, 2009 at 8:19 pm #52764Absoulutely beautiful animal and awesome mount! I would love to hunt those some day.
March 16, 2009 at 10:54 pm #759238http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/bike_path/navigator/navigator30/ I bought this one last summer, its a trek navigator 3.0, it has smoother tires than a mountain bike but they are wider with a good tread so it works good for both on and off road. Also it sits back so your not hunched over like on a mountain bike. I have had real good luck with it so far.
February 6, 2009 at 10:11 pm #745490I bought a 2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 Ext. cab 4 door this past summer and i love it. Plenty of room for hauling around me and my buddies for fishing trips, etc. I havent pulled a boat with it yet but i have pulled a 14′ or so enclosed trailer to mankato and it pulled great. I must add that i am partial to Chevys… , but no matter what choice you make now is a great time to buy a truck.
February 6, 2009 at 5:46 am #745282Very sad news. I always enjoyed looking at his awesome photos and his insightful post.
February 3, 2009 at 4:57 am #743912I agree with what everyone is saying but my experience with fishing is completely different, when i was younger, like under 14-15(im 21 now), i very rarely fished. I raced stock cars for one season when i was 15 and was mostly brought up around racing and didnt know a thing about fishing. I have one uncle that fishes and he took me a few times but it wasnt until i got a job and was in highschool that i met one of my best buddies and its thanks to him and my uncle that i am into fishing now and love it. So yes i would say of course you should take a kid fishing but its also contagious amongst kids.
January 28, 2009 at 8:59 pm #742397Very cool mount! Just curious, how much does a full body mount like that weigh?
January 18, 2009 at 11:14 pm #738734Thanks Justin, you’ll have to make it sometime, its a blast!
And Shaun you can’t reply if you’re one of the 5 people i was refering to…
January 17, 2009 at 11:59 pm #738513I also have a Frabill shack with the floor storage, i think its a great concept but poor design. I love the house but the only thing i have found the compartments useful for it to keep trash and the ridge poles.
January 16, 2009 at 2:08 pm #738015Real bad situation, but thank God no one was hurt. When i was walking into work last night at 6pm, i could see the flames from the Hormel parking lot. And as far as the comments on the link… What a F***ing joke, i cant stand when people have gotta always be trying to start sh*t! Especially over the internet!?
January 5, 2009 at 7:50 am #734070Firetiger colored diamond jig tipped with 1 or 2 spikes is one of my favorites, But if i can’t get anything to bite, my go to jig is a glow ratso
January 5, 2009 at 7:47 am #734069I hate to blame T-Jack for everything but its hard not to. As Walleyebuster said the D was pretty solid and even turned it over for the offense to do something with a couple of different times, but T-Jack made nothing happen. And you cant say the whole O was playing bad when Tavaris couldnt complete a pass to save his life… #1 thing for 2009 Vikings… QB
January 4, 2009 at 2:48 am #733703Mine is My PB northern, a 34in. 13lbs from north of Red Lake Ontario. I caught it on a fly-in trip. Nothing to special but it was an awesome trip and a fun fish to catch.
December 26, 2008 at 1:01 am #731693Great song, no doubt. but just wondering what the reasoning was behind posting it? The songs be out for a while, did he have a concert around here?
December 23, 2008 at 5:48 am #731063Thanks for the report. What size were the crappies and how much ice was out there?
December 23, 2008 at 5:46 am #731062As a die-hard Vikings fan, the Bears win is fine with me. As much as i will always like and root for the Vikes, they need to make it on their own and get the title the right way not by banking on a Bears loss. If they cant make it next weekend they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.
December 4, 2008 at 8:45 pm #726167I dont own a HD TV but i have a buddy that does and it is pretty sweet to watch movies on (as he doesnt have any HD channels) but i wouldnt say that its out dated by this “3D” tv if in order to watch it you have to wear glasses?
December 3, 2008 at 8:26 pm #725861I dont have a spring bobber on the set-up i was using but it was kinda off and on. There were fish that came up like rockets and hit it pretty good but then there where fish that either bit really light or didnt bite at all.
December 3, 2008 at 2:55 am #725598I was using a glow ratso tipped with a Gulp maggot. Started off with a diamond jig but i think it was a little to flashy and big for there taste right now.
December 3, 2008 at 12:45 am #725649sorry that was my report but my brother (braaten10) was logged in when i posted it, haha
November 19, 2008 at 11:59 pm #723340This is the fish that livetofish/mn is refering to, it maybe have been distorted by the water, haha
