Was out on the Mill Pond in Austin today, picked up quite a few decent gills and crappies along with a bunch of little guys. 4″ to 6″ of ice all over. Setting up for a long ice season!

Thanks! The camera is a Kodak PlaySport ZX5, it shoots 720p and 1080p, and it is water, shock and dust proof. Really good camera for a really reasonable price, I bought that one off ebay refurbished for around 80 bucks.

I bought a 2004 Chevy Silverado Z71 Ext. cab 4 door this past summer and i love it. Plenty of room for hauling around me and my buddies for fishing trips, etc. I havent pulled a boat with it yet but i have pulled a 14′ or so enclosed trailer to mankato and it pulled great. I must add that i am partial to Chevys… , but no matter what choice you make now is a great time to buy a truck.

I agree with what everyone is saying but my experience with fishing is completely different, when i was younger, like under 14-15(im 21 now), i very rarely fished. I raced stock cars for one season when i was 15 and was mostly brought up around racing and didnt know a thing about fishing. I have one uncle that fishes and he took me a few times but it wasnt until i got a job and was in highschool that i met one of my best buddies and its thanks to him and my uncle that i am into fishing now and love it. So yes i would say of course you should take a kid fishing but its also contagious amongst kids.

Very cool mount! Just curious, how much does a full body mount like that weigh?

I also have a Frabill shack with the floor storage, i think its a great concept but poor design. I love the house but the only thing i have found the compartments useful for it to keep trash and the ridge poles.

Real bad situation, but thank God no one was hurt. When i was walking into work last night at 6pm, i could see the flames from the Hormel parking lot. And as far as the comments on the link… What a F***ing joke, i cant stand when people have gotta always be trying to start sh*t! Especially over the internet!?

Firetiger colored diamond jig tipped with 1 or 2 spikes is one of my favorites, But if i can’t get anything to bite, my go to jig is a glow ratso

I hate to blame T-Jack for everything but its hard not to. As Walleyebuster said the D was pretty solid and even turned it over for the offense to do something with a couple of different times, but T-Jack made nothing happen. And you cant say the whole O was playing bad when Tavaris couldnt complete a pass to save his life… #1 thing for 2009 Vikings… QB

Mine is My PB northern, a 34in. 13lbs from north of Red Lake Ontario. I caught it on a fly-in trip. Nothing to special but it was an awesome trip and a fun fish to catch.

Thanks for the report. What size were the crappies and how much ice was out there?

As a die-hard Vikings fan, the Bears win is fine with me. As much as i will always like and root for the Vikes, they need to make it on their own and get the title the right way not by banking on a Bears loss. If they cant make it next weekend they don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

I dont own a HD TV but i have a buddy that does and it is pretty sweet to watch movies on (as he doesnt have any HD channels) but i wouldnt say that its out dated by this “3D” tv if in order to watch it you have to wear glasses?

I dont have a spring bobber on the set-up i was using but it was kinda off and on. There were fish that came up like rockets and hit it pretty good but then there where fish that either bit really light or didnt bite at all.

I was using a glow ratso tipped with a Gulp maggot. Started off with a diamond jig but i think it was a little to flashy and big for there taste right now.
