    Munchy, thanks for the reply. Took the boat out again this am with just me. Ran it up half and no list. Full speed, no list. When this situation occurred, there were four large adults in the boat, 2 in the aft seats. I think the load at the rear of the boat somehow impacted the ride. Hull is spotless and motor mount measures square. thanks again.

    Dave F, Nice set up. I am faced with the same situation. I don’t think the sport trax on my 186 Tyee GL will handle a downrigger set up. First, its only a little over 3″ and the rigger base is probably 4. May be using heavy balls for deep fishing so more stress on the fiberglass and if I get snagged I’ve got a real issue. The seat post and seat mounts are what I am looking at doing. However, I think I am going to run one continuous piece of aluminum 60″ total over the top of the posts and attach to the seat mounts. Thumb screws on the big jon rigger base and one piece pulls out with both post and the alum base. Looking at 3/8″ thick. Any comments welcome. thanks
