I have a ’19 polaris 570. Does dash have codes on it? Hold the mode button to see what code it sends? Mine does that if issue which was only once when I was low on coolant. I only have 200 miles on mine and the battery only lasted 4 yrs. I would replace battery too.

Never buy one with out electric tilt and EFI my Merc Prokicker 9.9 EFI is the cats meow compared to my carbed Yamaha T8 cold blooded son of gun.

My last kicker was a carbed unit and it was bullet proof. Always started and always ran. I agree with elec trim and start for sure. I would prefer efi also but those are probably 1k more in price without the cables etc which run close to another 1k. Vs tiller model that is. I found a dealer with a new 9.9 merc. Elec trim and and start but carb’d. Tiller model. Wants $2700

Thx. Thought about using a tie arm to big motor?? Is a 15hp too much for the 1875 impact? Have seen a couple nice used tillers.

I have a ’14 silverado. Has the 5.3. I basically use it as a car. Only has 45k miles on it. With that type of use I think the motor is fine. Solid mileage. Pulls my 18ft boat just fine but most lakes are close to me. The tranny really blows though. Usually notice it when going slower speeds. I live in a town with some hills. Traveling up a hill going town speed limit, it often shifts gears so hard it feels like motor fell out. Seems like it just can’t find gear. I have ’05 ford f150 with the old 5.4 triton motor. Usually pull boat and decoy trailer, hunt/fish with that old dog. 180k miles and runs perfect. Those old 5.4s were pretty good.

Ya haven’t seen much that are 4-5 yrs old. Lots of tiller models but not remote style. Buying new is an option but may keep digging for a bit for a good used. Thx!

It was actually on a Lund Impact. The wave wakers weren’t made to fit of course but they have a little side bracket that the curve of wacker fit into. So, with this it might fit any boat?
The I believe the vantage is an ’18 but not purchased until 19. Works perfectly.

yeah I heard they are discontinuing. What a shame…fantastic motors. I agree…It would be a good idea to buy one for backup. This is a square deal for a good motor.

He’s probably a decent fella. I just can’t take his obnoxious personality. Never watch anymore. Another host I shy away from is Larry Smith. Has a decent show but he speaks so poorly. Count how many times he says “Ya know” in one episode.
Or improperly uses “Them.” Them fish are really biting! Them tub o towels really work! Them lures sure catch fish! I know… I’m picky but if you’re a tv personality I’d hope your language was up to par.
