I have an older Stearns in a Lg and just bought an Onyx in XL last fall for duck hunting. Jackets are almost identical. I’m about 255 and can wear the Xl over a fleece top and insulated bibs. Not waterproof and no hood. Jacket is very comfortable, I wear it while rowing and shooting.

Buddy from work was up on Gull. Said they got inspected going in and coming out. When taking out the inspector went through all of the compartments, bait buckets, even ran their hands along the sides and bottom of the boat, spent 10-15 minutes. Wanted them to wash boat but ended up not having too.

I have a 97 and a 99 chev. I know I pulled a fuse to get the headlights to only be on when I turned them on for the 97, pretty sure I did the same on the 99.

For about $7 you could get a TSA tagged lock at Menards. Either keyed or padlock, they have a spot for a TSA key so TSA can open after you have locked. Safe from everyone except those that own TSA keys.

For future reference there is a round, black diaphragm seal underneath the black plastic top cap of the Fluidmaster Ballcock. It will wear over time and eventually need to be replaced, usually at a time when the store is out of stock….I think its part number 242.
Shut off water to tank. Twist the black cap a 1/8 to 1/4 turn and lift off cap. Replace diaphragm, reinstall cap and turn on water.

Is the water in the tank above the overflow pipe, if not its probably the flapper. I woudl start there. Yes, the Fluidmaster kit will fit a 1981 Kohler.

Depends on what a trophy is to you. Be aware that many of the lodges will have an additional fly-out to the premier fishing, usually those require additional charges.

I fished Lac La Marte in the NWT for 10 years, its under new ownership now and I do not know the owners (NWTfishing.com). Used to have a picture of my 30# fish on the old homepage. You need to fish the first week or two of the season if you want numbers of large fish (over 20#, 45″+). Our largest was 30.5#, longest was 50″ (two different fish).

Went to Knee Lake for a week once. The good northern fishing required a fly-out to the north end of the lake. Lots of 8-12# fish, a handful over 40″ in a weeks fishing, did not compare to Lac La Marte.

Midnight Sun Trophy Pike Adventures in Alaska can get into big fish, but success is tied to river flows and some years they do not do very well. A buddy of mine went there once or twice.

I had a ’93 of the same model with a 60 Evinrude 2-stoke, at first had a 40. The 40 was only good if it was just me in the boat. Was very stable and a great boat to fish out of. I now have an ’03 Tournament Pro.

I missed it too but it should run again next week Tuesday at 7pm. I think it may run Thurs. night as well, I know I have caught the current episode on Thurs or Fri nights.

You need a solid base. To fix a road we had that was mainly sand/class 5 we put down 3 minus rock and then recycled concrete. We had a source for the recycle that was very clean, I guess sometimes you can get a bunch of wire/metal in it. Anyhow, that road has stood up to traffic at a 400 member gun club for the past 4 years.

Sent you a PM on what we did and where we fished. Ate fish for 3 meals and took some home, nice trip it was. Fishing partner is back up there right now but I have not heard a report yet.

I was there last weekend. Very friendly, helpful people and clean cabins, no red flags. We had sleds/portables so did not fish out of there houses. Afraid I don’t know how there houses were doing.

I had a diskectomy in 1995 after years of back issues. Surgery was the last option and was based on MRI’s and severe nerve pain in my right leg. I went to a Dr. Kraker who is with Advanced Spine Associates now in Spring Lake Park. Was a day surgery with little pain after. Had one relapse since and that was treated with a Epidural Steroid injection. Based on my experience, I would recommend him and his partner Dr. Banks.

Reducing weight and excercise has also helped a great deal.

Good to see you guys landed one. I had four misses on Satuday and lost a nice Steelhead on Sunday after a long fight. Trying to head back in Feb and have a trip booked with Eric in late March, maybe cross paths with James out there.

I will be there, went last year as well. Probably going early to fish on my own a day or two.

For those wondering about equipment, reference the discussions on Eric’s website listed below. In general, you should have med action rods, 6-8# fluorocarbon leaders and #8 Octopus or egg style hooks. May want to bring some small jigs and plastics (white). Don’t really need a depth finder, I’m leaving mine at home.

“I will say my least favorite is located on State Highway 13 at County Road 2 between Prior Lake and New Prague. A 20mile Design posted on a 55mph Highway in the middle of Corn Fields. Very small and tightly fit into this location where when I have driven this road people are cruizing 65+.”

Experienced that one and it’s bad. Got a worse one though. CTY 120 on the North end of St Cloud. Three circles in less than a mile, all to accomadate a new super Wal-Mart/Sams mess. I cannot wait to navigate those skinny circles with a 20′ boat beind a Ext cab long box when there is a good sale going on….

I use a live trap (from FF, “have a heart” brand maybe?) baited with sunflower seeds, then shoot them with a pellet gun. Dogs go nuts when they hear the trap close.

Destination A/T’s on a Tahoe and I like them so far, only have about 8k yet. Silent Armour was my next choice.

I run Goodrich Traction T/A tires on my Gran Prix. Good snow/wet traction. Last set went 65k.

Done it twice. First time it was the middle finger on top of the first knuckle at the hand. Second time was just ahead of the knuckle at the base of my thumb. Had a brace of some sort for about 4-6 weeks both times. Stretching therapy for a couple months after that, squeeze play dough like stuff, pull rubber bands. They did some Ultrasound treatments the first time but they did not do much for me. Full motion back after 4 months or so I guess.

I fished the Rainy river about 10 days after cutting the thumb, just had to modify a glove to keep the hand warm. Tying line was a devil though.
    Good Luck.
