I’m having the same problems also. The guys in the Rochester store have told me that Alltel is having unexpected problems getting the towers switched over, whatever that means. I took a phone in for repair in June when it was still Midwest and haven’t got it back yet. I was told a few weeks ago that Alltel is about ready to throw all the phones that are in for repair in the trash and give those people new phones, no charge. I’ll see what happens when I stop in next week to check on this. I’ve given them a couple extra weeks on this issue. I do have one friend that checked on this and Alltel reset the programing for the roaming feature on their phone and that took care of most of the problems they were having. That may be something you could have them check on your phone.

I haven’t fly fished for about 30 yrs but am getting back at it again. I picked up a Scott E2, 2 pc 5 wt rod a while back with the intention of using it for panfishing. Brian is correct saying that “graphite is the only way to go”. I’m using weight forward line and an 8ft leader. I was on Lake Zumbro this afternoon and picked up 10-15 nice sunnies using Bead Head & Prince nymphs. The wind was kind of gusty at times which made the casting a bit difficult but it was as much fun as I remember!

Heard about your mount at work, looks as good as I heard. Has your son been fishing with the “Pro’s” lately? Last I heard he said he was “catching fish and eating chocolates, like being on a luxury liner!” See ya on the river………

I was just reading on page 4 of the 2007 MN regs and your daily bag limit & possession limit are the same “for most species of fish”. “Inland limit on yellow perch” are an exception. Also, it wouldn’t matter what side of the river you launch your boat from, your bag/pos limit is determined by the state in which you maintain your permanent residence. I checked into this with a friend of mine who works for the DNR in Eau Claire WI. I had a question about buying a WI non-resident license so I could take advantage of Wisconsin’s 25 fish limit on sunnies in Pool 5. Mn has a 10 fish limit in Pools 5, 5a, and 8. Even if I had the WI non-res license I could only take Mn’s 10 fish limit.
