Did not think about the motor size LOL, I went through this with my 115hp merc when switching to a 4 blade.

If he’s running a Enertia now, no, he does not want a Spitfire. It would be too small. Enertias fit the larger gearcase, and Spitfires fit the 75-115 gearcase.
6100-6300 RPM range is likely a L6 Verado, max on a V8 merc is either 6000 or 6200RPM’s depending on model. I know some people have luck with Rev4’s and Bravo’s if you want to run a 4 blade.
To everyone saying don’t play with the vents on a 4-stroke, don’t write it off. The L6’s liked them closed, but some specific boats with the new V8 mercs will benefit from some venting. This can apply to some of the smaller 4 strokes as well, but it’s not as much of a sure thing like it was with 2strokes. The V10’s also like venting in some applications.
