I have all 3 and the FLX-28 catches as many fish as the others. If it were me I would buy the one I can get a deal on. Like new Flx-28 sell for $400 on FB market place. Would not spend $700 for a new Flx-38 again. There was deals on the Flx-30 if you can find them still.

Putting a Air tag in your fishing bag is not a bad idea.

Did not think about the motor size LOL, I went through this with my 115hp merc when switching to a 4 blade.

You want a 14x17p 4 blade SS Spitfire Mercury prop

If he’s running a Enertia now, no, he does not want a Spitfire. It would be too small. Enertias fit the larger gearcase, and Spitfires fit the 75-115 gearcase.

6100-6300 RPM range is likely a L6 Verado, max on a V8 merc is either 6000 or 6200RPM’s depending on model. I know some people have luck with Rev4’s and Bravo’s if you want to run a 4 blade.

To everyone saying don’t play with the vents on a 4-stroke, don’t write it off. The L6’s liked them closed, but some specific boats with the new V8 mercs will benefit from some venting. This can apply to some of the smaller 4 strokes as well, but it’s not as much of a sure thing like it was with 2strokes. The V10’s also like venting in some applications.

Earlier in the day, Woodbury first responders made another water rescue on Wilmes Lake. Police said Minnesotans should be weary of ice on lakes and ponds.

That deal is out $1700 for a Garmin 9″ with the old 32 transducer.

My son just said that Scheels is coming out with a killer deal on the garmin livescope. I cannot remember the details but it was cheap. Full setup. I told him I am not going to buy another different brand since I already have 2 and he said well get the active target 2 for the lowrance. Well, my head units arent compatible with that. bawling

You want a Fleck controller water softener. No need to spend over $1000 for a unit its self. Stay away from the big guys as they will charge you $3-4k and its all profit if you do the math. The 5600xt is $799 on Cyber Monday deal at US Filter.com

David save your $800 The Flx-38 not worth it. I will catch more fish with my Flx-28 then a FLX38 or FLX40. If you want the adjustable zoom get a Marcum M5 a lot cheaper.

To many people think rates are based on their driving record, even some of you mentioned it in this post. Your in a pool with everyone else who has your insurance company, this why your rates go up. Storms down south, bad drivers they all cause the insurance company’s to pay out claims thats why your rates keep going up. That and greedy CEO’s making $10 million with a $7 million bonus.

Buy a new set, cost of fishing. I do not hear people complain about spending $50 on beer that only last the weekend, the blades should last years.
FYI $39.99 at Glens Army store
