The bands indent the cork and can split the cork rings, Also when fighting a big fish the front of the reel comes off the handle and feels like its falling off.

so what’s the problem with band they you guys don’t like them?

Also you can not skip any updates, cant go from 1 to 4, have to go to 2 then 3 and then 4 if that makes sense.

You want a ML moderate action with some back bone, lots of people making dead stick rods now days. Mine go for $90 but JT and TUCR sell for $129. Guessing you can buy a Chinese built for less.

Store stock yes, Custom made you can take some off the tip and be able to go to a 5 or 6mm no problem.

For bigger tungsten jigs, you’ll need to go to solid carbon blank. 5mm tungsten size is max for my power noodles.

Thorn Bros is way way way over priced on their ice blanks at $54, BK $9 power noodle or $16 V-Line Gurney Noodle are the 2 I would use.

If you want an 10″ hole for late ice I would get the Eskimo propane, they were on clearance for $239 not to long ago.

30 other bays to fish most with no people on them, that’s where I would start.

Alpha Plus is the best out there right now, The E40 and Strike Master 40v are next in line.

Home Depot 1 gal Paint rack $4 They also make a 3 gal rack that fits the Big Buddy $6. No mods needed flip upside down and it hooks on the handle. I just bought one of each last week.

The Clam box or similar, then glue a 1/4″ strip of foam to the cover so when you close the top the foam holds the spoons in place. Works great.

I have a Otter Cabin that just slips under my cover but I have a 6.5′ bed. So I only can tell you it does fit under a soft cover on a Ford F150.

I have all 3 and the FLX-28 catches as many fish as the others. If it were me I would buy the one I can get a deal on. Like new Flx-28 sell for $400 on FB market place. Would not spend $700 for a new Flx-38 again. There was deals on the Flx-30 if you can find them still.
