cabelas sells it in an ice pack($299)and the skimmer transducer is around $60 so for around $360 your still cheaper than the new vexilar fl20’s and you have somethin that you can use all year round. Ive been pondering getting one for my self. The soft pack at cabelas includes the standard 12 volt battery with charger, battery indicator, and iceducer with float.

i haven’t herd from my buddy but he was goin to go today and thought that there was six inches between the bridges in sturgeon slough. It’s that first cut as you come over the big bridge from the iowa side. Last I knew ther was at least 6 fow and a little current so it has the making of a crappie bite and ther are always gills on the river. Good luck and let me know how you do.

Snow just makes things a lot easier for the opener but i dont think we are supposed to get quite as much as you guys will get. Im hunting around west union and the forecasts are just a trace to and inch for us and I dont know how long that will stick around. At least this year it will be a little warmer than last yeah it was flippin cold last year on the stand, especially after a mile hike straight up hill. Good luck to everyone this weekend and safety first.

cabelas still does carry the lazers they arent in any of the catalogs or website they are a retail only item. I do work in the fishing department in the Prarie Du Chein Cabeals and as far as i know we have them or are getting them. The experience i have with the nils master is that they are alright but customers have a hard time finding the replacement head for the auger and from what ive heard customers tell me is that they could almost buy a new auger for what the replacement head cost. My vote goes to the lazer having used both the mora and the lazer the lazer is a lot faster through the ice.
