I got out on my favorite East Metro Bass lake this morning early. To the East it was still dark, and in the West there was a big old full Moon. Water temp was 58 degrees by the way. I wasn’t doing anything for a while and then the Moon finally set. For the next 20 minutes the Bass went nuts! Six fish in 20 minutes, all very aggressive biters and well hooked. And then it was over just like that. The next 3 hours were a complete blank and I saw only one other boat hook up in that time. I’ve had that happen at least twice before over the years, once near Aitkin and once on this lake mny years ago.
So was this a fluke or did they really wait until it was the darkest time of night?
