True – it is put on by the muskie inc. – twin cities chapter. it starts friday and ends sunday. there are 20 different lakes to choose from. cost is $70.00 per person.

elwin – The guys at BBC could not help you? this sounds like the dealer did not prep the motor correctly. take it back to the dealer and have them fix it – if they cannot, take it to another dealer to fix. new motors should run out of the box with correct dealer set up.

i don’t think the gears are shot. Take off the cap on the opposite side of the handle. then on the cap you took off -in the center, there will be a hole/cup. put some oil in there. that will take care of the screaching sound. or if you are on the water and this does happen, dunk it in the water(saw a guide do this). then clean it and oil it when you get home.

are your batteries in good condition? sometimes weak batteries may cause this. seems like electronics need full power to operate.

Cove bay public access is really shallow. especially from power loading. could really use dredging. the only thing cove bay has going for it – is that it is protected from all winds.

i put a ranger 620 in at cove bay access and i barely made it. probably by 2″. the wash out from power loading is the hang up (last fall i could not use that landing). i took it out at izatys. izatys is $20.00 but deep enough and protected from the wind if it comes up. good luck.

yeah, it should make for a great re-match. i thought De la hoya was on the offensive and Mayweather was on the defensive the whole fight. De la hoya missed alot of his punches or they were not very effective punches but i thought he should have won. That’s boxing for ya.

i bought a used 2005 boat w/ minn kota. i have a thing on the MK that needs to be fixed. i have been to all three service centers in mpls area and all have said same thing – warranty not transferable . and if i bought it new they all wanted to see a receipt. so find your receipt and bring it with you to get it fixed. worth a try. But i agree not very good customer service from MK.

i have never used any of these but you might want to try capras, formula propeller or fish lectronics. they are closer than south metro.

i had it done this past spring. what a difference !! my eyes were bad and could not see without glasses or contacts. i wish i had it done sooner. i had excellent results!! just do some research and get the free initial exam done to see if it would benefit you. I would do it agian. FYI – just remember your eyes can/will change in the future which may lead to another surgery or glasses again. I had it done in Maple Grove as well.

If this is the pistolpete i think it is , how do you have time to listen to the radio with all the fish you catch. and an answer to your question is move the antenna to the other side of the boat.

Increase it to 50″. anything we can do to help the sport and the fishery would be great. They should do it to all of minnesota so the population and size of these fish can increase for future musky chasers.

After reading the cashiers check scam that matth posted I was laughing and at the same time upset. The deal has not been done and will not get done. The exact same things (especially the second paragraph) that were in that article were told to me from the buyer overseas. He will not wire the money. He will only send a cashiers check for the amount plus the shipping fee that i am suppose to forward on to his shipper. Thanks for all the info you have shared. I will be contacting the proper authorities. I hope there is some way they can catch this guy.
