We fished up there Sat, Sat night and Sunday morning and caught one 18 1/2″ smallie. Never saw a walleye and never saw another boat catch a fish. We tried everything knew how to use and even things we had never tried and still couldn’t get bit. Pretty frustrating. Hopefully thing will turn around.

We are heading up this weekend also. Staying at Rocky Reef Lodge. Hoping to find some walleyes, but will spend a little time trying for some big smallies too. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated. Good luck to everyone going up.

About $1,200. It was a dealership. That was parts and labor.

We have looked into that, but the price we got quoted to have that done was outrageous. We figured it was cheaper to trade it in on a new one. It would be four years newer and have new tires, etc.

I personally saw three flats caught this weekend and all three were handled ok and released. I would guess they were all in the 20-25lb range. We caught one that was massive, no scale, and it was released. We also caught two flats that were probably 2-3 lbs and they were released too. They really liked that purple jig head and minnow.

Your two days sound very similar to what we found except we had a 44 inch flathead instead of a 25″ eye as our bonus fish. Didn’t have a scale, but it was massive. Saw a couple other large flatheads caught this weekend too. Lots of boats, but a great weekend to be out on the water

I bought a 2008 1825 Explorer Sport with a 150 Verado on it with basically the same electronics you have. 54 hours on the motor. Same trailer set up. Mine did have a custom cover. I paid $23,000.

If I could afford it, I would like to spend a few days with Chis too.

Maybe Flin Flon, always have heard good things about that.
