no problem! just remember zoom option, comes in handy sometimes with really small font sites, or tired eyes.
April 24, 2015 at 7:42 pm #1537724Sounds like a good idea to me. I wouldnt install it though.. having it be easily removable is key. Maybe try some snap ins, or velcro? anything that would allow you to give a corner a pull and remove the top carpeting to allow for cleaning and drying
April 24, 2015 at 7:38 pm #1537719try holding ctrl and pressing the – key. Works both ways with the + to zoom in.
April 21, 2015 at 3:43 pm #1536575I love to fish like everyone on here, but lets be honest… messing around on a jet ski is one of the finer pleasures in life
April 6, 2015 at 7:00 pm #1531591It would be another nice option but I can definitely see that at a certain point they would be just putting out to many options that would just be costing them more to produce for the same amount of money coming in.
April 6, 2015 at 6:24 pm #1531582I have been doing some more looking and have really only found options that are more expensive, such as the cisco which are made out of aluminum, which in that case I can understand the increased price. might just have to pay the price
April 6, 2015 at 12:17 am #1531212What?! I was disappointed when the Gander in Maple grove closed, sure cabelas is just up the road, but gander was always good to me. price, selection( for the size of store) and customer service.
April 6, 2015 at 12:09 am #1531210While I personally cant identify what it is, I would highly recommend that you contact the dnr with the picture and the name of the lake. here is a link

Sorry a little off topic
April 5, 2015 at 10:30 pm #1531195…1st of all what do you mean by SO CALLED GUIDES.?…And as far as MAKEING MONEY OFF THE RESOURCES. Why shouldn’t so called guides make money off the resource. There are tons of people that make money off the resources. Like Bait Shops, Cabela’s, Bass Pro, Guides for Elk, deer, Bear, Goats, Sheep Waterfowl, etc. etc…Resorts, Tackle companies, Boat makers, Boat Sales and Service, Motels, Bait Dealers, Gun Sales for hunting, etc. etc. etc. etc. … River Rat Randy Guide service ” SO CALLED GUIDE” Retired. … …rrr
Whats your deal rrr? dairycats original comment was not calling out every guide out there, and if you know you are ethical than what does it matter? You took the whole post to another level.
Personally I can see that its not always the guide that is keeping the big fish, it is the clients that pay them, which puts those ethical guides in a tough spot. But if guiding is your sole/ first source of income than its hard to say no to a paying customer.
March 31, 2015 at 6:59 pm #1529421While you arent technically new a WELCOME is in order! Enjoy the boat, but more importantly enjoy the memories!
March 31, 2015 at 6:54 pm #1529419Almost everyone on this topic is a fairly good sport about the whole thing, picking at opposing teams and rivalry comes with the world of sports, and those that watch them. If you are a poor sport about it, or cant handle some heckling than at bare minimum avoid reading the posts and dont post yourself.
March 28, 2015 at 12:17 am #1528144Sorry about the spud!! Im sure by now the number of spud bars on the bottom of Mn lakes is pretty staggering haha! The end of ice is bitter sweet, but the open water is calling now!!
March 25, 2015 at 9:28 pm #1527213Were you able to launch in under 3 minutes when you first started or retrieve in under a minute when you first started?
X2 It really is something that takes some time. Some of us grew up in a family that owned boats, and picked up the skill from that. While others are having their first experiences with boating well into their adult lives. Yes its annoying ( specially not having the boat ready before they back it up) but for the most part I cut people a break because they are just out for a good time like you and me.
March 24, 2015 at 11:23 pm #1526859How could someone possibly make the choice to endanger large populations beacuse of the unfounded belief that their child is at a higher risk of being harmed by the vaccination itself?
Plain and Simple answer? stupidity. I am all for people having the ability to choose what they want to do in most cases, thats what our country is about ( or should be) but when people make choices that not only effect themselves but have the possibility of endangering others, I cant stand by that. I feel that sometimes people need to feel relevant or whatever you want to call it, so they pick something to be ‘passionate’ about that sets them apart.
March 17, 2015 at 9:05 pm #1524519Is this what you were looking for?
http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/ice_out/index.htmlMarch 17, 2015 at 8:33 pm #1524505Just looked up this Captain ricks place, and funny enough on their site they have a disclaimer against bad reviews claiming they are all from a rival charter. While Im sure that happens, I have never seen someone have to put a disclaimer on their site against bad reviews. coincidenece?… given what you guys are saying Im guessing no.
March 8, 2015 at 10:01 pm #1521251I talked to a guy at cabelas working the marine area and he had a great suggestion that for some reason I hadnt thought of. He suggested that you just drop the trolling motor and start the route tracking while using the outboard to make a route ( slow enough not to do anything to the Minnkota of course) that way you can make a track faster and than not mess with controls much while fishing
March 7, 2015 at 4:16 pm #1520886thanks for the info everyone, I am going to get the i pilot for my powerdrive v2. has anyone found that they miss having the foot pedal?
March 6, 2015 at 11:07 pm #1520709thanks gixxer that is a big help, I get by without the added features, but a few days in the wind was all it took for me to want it. something as simple as spot lock would be very nice to have. I am assuming you have I pilot? do you still have the ability to use the foot controls? and how accurate have you found the gps to be?
March 6, 2015 at 10:01 pm #1520693sorry about the wordy questions, just want to make sure that I fully understand what will and what wont work for me, Thanks
March 6, 2015 at 9:59 pm #1520691I have the Powedrive V2. So, I used those links and is the main difference that the i pilot link is for people that have humingbirds and the the plain i pilot is for people that dont? I guess if someone can just tell me whether or not buying the plain i pilot head to go on my Minnkota would allow me use things like spot lock and the trolling function While only having a Lowrance dash mount..
Im also seeing that the ‘link’ part is so that you can have your trolling motor follow contour lines, correct? and that the regular i pilot doesnt allow you to follow contour lines, but it does allow you to record a path with the internal gps on the I pilot head?
February 10, 2015 at 1:42 am #1509375I guess I should add that we havnt had an skiers or tubers yet, but have done plenty of that with the last boat, and this should be even better with the removable two bar. as far as seating for a family, the jump seats are awesome, and if you do get one I would recommend getting the removable seat cushions for the bow. holds 8 like a dream
February 10, 2015 at 1:39 am #1509373I have a 2014 1875 crossover and so far it has been great, I really like all the features, such as the storage, the jump seats among many other things. I added the air ride seats and a few other things. It has the new mercury 150 on it and that has been great also. Comment on here or message me if you have more specific questions about it
January 29, 2015 at 10:38 pm #1504634I have the Lx-6 and yes it takes some getting used to having the other capabilities, but once you get the hang of it they are great to have. Like ps0345 said, when fishing some bottom huggers or fish that are hanging almost exclusively in the bottom few feet, the vertical zoom is great, especially when you pair that with the full flasher
January 29, 2015 at 7:29 pm #1504540Maybe just use the names of key bodies of water that you want reports for and use the search bar? Even if there was a dedicated report subcategory, you would still be searching the posts for bodies of water that apply to your area. And like munchy said, the more split up the site is the less traffic the posts as a whole get. By keeping them all together, you have a much better chance of finding what you want and having others add to those posts. IMO
