I always had luck for pike on steiger lake. Smaller lake catch and release only, and not a crowded lake. It’s been a couple years sense i lived down there, but I wouldn’t think it has changed.

I will second mojo, I have a 17.5ft v hull with a 115 as well. With 3 trolling motor batteries, 650lbs of people, plus gear I have an awesome hileshot, planes out real quick with a top end of 44 Gps. I would think you would be fine, you can always ask to test the boat as well… Good luck with your boat hunting.

I will second the behind the scenes show, I think that would be a cool idea. As far as if your looking for trips, I would love to see a bad river Muskie show, or any Muskie show for that matter…

Thanks for the input guys, sounds like all I need to do is fashion some holders on and trial and error… For the leadcore setup do you typically split it 6 and 4 color, or just spool all 10 colors on and clip your boards on whatever color your desired depth is?

Thanks guys, If I can get di and si view of the 2d when linked to an si unit, that seems like an no brainier to me. I also like the use of being able to move the bow unit as needed never thought of that. Thanks for the good ideas.

went out to pool 8 fished from 10-2 and got a couple sheepies, a carp a walleye that was the size of a panfish. But all in all it was a pretty good night, with pretty consistant bite from the sheepies.

it has cleared up some but not great, there are still leaves and small sticks/logs (bigest i saw was 2 feet long 2″around) floating down the river, but with the no wake you wont hit them too hard. i’de give it another week on good weather until its debree free.

Im thinking with the weather outlook another week or so and the best time of the year for trout at foster will be here, when the ice is about 10-20 feet out. Its already looking up with open water on shore in some places.I found the best way to land the this time of year is with either a waxy or minnow about 4-6 feet down on a bobber casted on the ice and dragged of so your fishing right on the edge.
